"You have got to be fucking kidding me." Landon said."No," I quickly stood up and knocked on the door. "This cannot be happening."
Landon stood up and rammed on the door. "Get us the fuck out of here!" he yelled. But all we heard was the booming music from outside.
I kneeled down to the floor, folded my hands, and looked up to the ceiling. "Dear God," I said, "what did I every do to deserve this? I'm a good kid, I haven't done anything terrible. So please, plea-"
"What the hell are you doing?" Landon asked, looking down on me.
"What does it look like I'm doing?"
He rolled his eyes. "Well, help me, two people shouting is better than one."
I slightly nodded and stood back up and joined him in banging on the door and shouting. After what seemed like hours but was probably five minutes. Nothing happened. Except my hand was aching and my throat was sore and think that I may have nodes. This night just keeps getting better.
I sighed and flopped onto the ground. "I'm done. I'm done. I can't do it anymore."
I slowly stopped knocking and leaned his back against the door. He then slowly slid to the ground. He groaned and place his face in his hands. "I didn't even want to come here," he quietly whispered to himself.
"Well that makes two of us," I said, brining my legs up and rest my chin on my knees.
"I thought you wanted to be here."
I shocked my head. "Cameron's sister dragged me here. I'm not really a party person."
"Me neither," he said, looking up from his hands to look at me. "I just wanted to stay home and read."
I smiled, even though he probably couldn't see it. "Me too. And I had to cancel my date with Netflix."
He chuckled. "That's unfortunate. You should never bail on something as great as Netflix."
"Yeah, that's what I told Emma."
And we sat in silence. It wasn't a awkward, it was... comfortable. I liked it. I stretched out my legs and laid down on my back.
"Do you want to play twenty questions?" Landon asked.
I rolled my eyes, but decided to accept the offer since there was nothing else to do. "Sure, I'll go first." I took a deep breath in and out. "Are you a fuckboy?"
"Wha...what? No!" He sputtered.
I nodded. "Okay, just making sure."
He sighed. "What's your favorite book?"
I slightly smiled and closed my eyes. "The Outsiders."
"Really? I love that book!"
"It's absolutely amazing," I said.
"Stay gold, Ponyboy..." he said dramatically.
I laughed. "What is your favorite animal?"
"Giraffes."
I smiled and chuckled. "Giraffes? Why?"
"I'm not sure, to be honest. They're just really chill and eat trees and stuff."
"Great reason."
"What about you?"
"Wolves," I said.
