Recap:
We both stayed silent for a while. I played with my bracelets until Landon leaned his head against my shoulder. I froze and we both didn't say anything for a while. He finally broke the silence.

"Bella, have you ever been in love?"

I shifted my away from him, but I already started to feel my heart race faster every second that passed by. I didn't like to think about my past relationships, for every time I did tears start to well in my eyes. "Um, I don't think we know each other well enough for a question like that."

I felt him try to move closer to me. "Sweetheart, we've been talking for the passed three hours. I think we know each other pretty well if I say so myself."

Can't say that's not true...

"Look you don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to, but I want to tell you what I experienced because I feel like I need to get it off of my chest and just tell someone. So can you be that person?"

I nodded, stupidly forgetting that he couldn't see my in the darkness. "Y-yes," I said.

"Did you just nod?"

I blushed. "Maybe..."

He laughed and said something under his breath. I would've asked what he said but he continued to talk.

"So, it was freshman year when I met Andrea. We were seated next to each other in English class, and at first she was shy, but eventually we started talking and we got really close. You could say she was one of my best friends.

Like a lot of best friend relationships, I started to grow attracted to her and I would start to get nervous whenever I'd talk to her. I wanted to ask her out so badly, but I just didn't have the balls for it. One day I asked her if she wanted to get some food with me, she agreed, and we ended up having a great time at a burger place. So great, I ended up kissing her because I liked her so much. After the initial shock and embarrassment I felt at my stupidity, she actually kissed me back. We started dating after that."

"Wait," I interrupted, "I think I heard of this story. You broke up with her because you two grew apart. Why are you telling me this?"

He sighed. "No, that's what we decided to tell everyone because it was much less drama. I'm going to tell you the real story. We became that really cheesy couple that you hate seeing in the hallways at school, making out on the lockers and hugging blocking while blocking everyone's way. It was the relationship lonely people envied, the one you'd see in the movies."

He took a pause and heard him position himself against the door. "After everyone knew about that, I told them we started to busy with school work and sports to see each other, so we grew apart. The real reason was that six months after dating her, I went to her house to cheer her up because she was sick, and I found out she lied and was in bed with a different person."

"Seriously?!" I exclaimed. "Who was he?"

He snickered. "More like, who was she?"

My mouth dropped. "You mean, she's a lesbian?"

"Yes, I walked in on my girlfriend fucking her secret girlfriend. To say I was upset was an understatement. We fought for a while, and I ended up in tears asking if she actually ever loved me. She said she did, but as a friend, and she dated me because she didn't want to except that she was gay, but after a while she just couldn't run away from who she actually was."
