Summer's POV"Yeah I know I am doing better Silvia. I told you so. You don't have to be surprised." I told her when the results from my medical tests came back. Better that ever before.
"I know you told me but I didn't except your results would be this great. I also talked with the physician and he said you are doing great. I am really proud of you." She said giving me her million dollar smile.
"I wish I could tell the same about you. You are ignoring your responsibilities, you overwork, you don't eat properly..." I said pointing at the McDonald's wrap that was on top of her desk. "You need to take better care of you and the little nugget. You are a doctor for God's sake." I told her.
"Yeah, I know but I have patients. I can't just leave them. Plus I am not to blame for the McDonald's. The baby wanted them not me." She said pointing at her baby bump that is barely noticeable.
"McDonald's hm? Well, with Lia I wanted tacos and with Taylor I wanted chocolate. In any form. I would wake up Alex at three in the morning almost every night to go and get me. And she would never say no. She was always doing everything for her kids." I paused and walked towards her. I grabbed her face that was looking at the floor and pushed it lightly upwards, so she was looking at me. "...The kids she knows of."
She sighed and took a couple of steps away from me. "What are you so scared of? Why haven't you told her yet? If you are waiting for her to find out it's a lost cause. In those kind of subjects she is as oblivious as a man, if not even worse." I said and that made her laugh a little because she knows is true.
"I know. It's not that. I am just... I don't want her to have this with all the other things on her plate. She is dealing with a lot. This can wait." She looked down again.
"Honey, Alex is superwoman. She can handle it. After all the bad things I am sure she will be extremely happy when she finds out about the baby." I stoped and waited for her to say something but she never did. She was on the verge of tears. I am guessing because of the hormones."How about we do it together? Hhm? Why don't we go know?" She sighed and looked at me, then nodded her head.
Before we could do or say anything more, my phone rang. It was Lia.
"Hey baby, what's up?" I asked her but the only thing I could hear on the other end of the line was crying. "Lia, what happened honey are you ok?" I asked panicking. Silvia grabbed my hand. She was looking worried too.
"M-mama, please...p-please come home as fast as you can." She said and hung up the phone.
I was panicking. I opened the door and found my sister sitting on a chair on the waiting room. "Something happened we have to go home now. I told her." I didn't even noticed that I never let Silvia 's hand free so I dragged her with me. We got in the car and Sara started driving immediately. I took my phone out again and called Alex. She was supposed to be home by know. What the hell happened?
"Come on, pick up the fucking phone. This is why you have it." I told to no one in particular because Alex couldn't hear me anyways.
Please God, please. Make sure my daughters are fine. I am not asking for anything else. Alex would be devastated if something happened to one of them, or both. I don't think she could handle it. After all the things she has been through, she can't take anymore bad news. And to be frankly, I don't think I could handle something like that either.
"Come on Sara. Drive faster." I said panicking. I felt Silvia place a hand around my shoulders and pulled me closer to her.
She started whispering things on my ear like, "Everything is going to be ok." Or "Calm down, Alex will fix it whatever it is." She was trying to calm me down.
