"So you back overseas already?" I pout in the bleachers on the phone with Jalen. He was still in the airport and the connection was going kind of bad. "Yeah the tryna start training camp early so I needa be back on my grind." He says breaking up a little.
I look from the phone and see Sarah and Skai going up against Bryce and Mikey in some 2v2. Both of them used to play basketball in middle school so I guess they know what they doing. Even though none of them really mess with each other like that. "I guess I shouldn't get in the way of your work then." I sigh feeling some type of way cause my tangible boyfriend isn't here with me.
"Yeah but Imma come back ma. Always?" He asks through the phone stopping where he was at. I give him a sad yet promising smile. "Always." I answer back and he gives me a satisfying smile after I kiss the camera. "Ight love you mamas." He says hanging up.
I hold the phone up to his chest thinking about his last sentence. I'm not tripping am I? "Always." I hear Mikey mock on the court while dribbling the ball in between his legs. "Shut up Mikey." Mikey told Aunt Vee that he has to go to the gym periodically so he won't loose his jump and now that's the only place she lets him go to if it's not a game. Cece is out of town for something she said about Granny Nana and Bryce went out to go get us some food so it's just the rest of us chilling in the gym. I just wanna know why I'm here.

I took a picture of my airforces and of them on the court and I saved the picture and sent it as a streak. They continued playing and I gotta text from Bryce. "Aye Bryce wanna know if y'all said Wendy's or Taco Bell?" I yell over the bleachers.
"Taco Bell!" They all answer and I nod texting it to Bryce. I looked up when I heard a loud boom and seen Mikey dunking the ball in the basket. This boy can never just shoot a ball he always dunking something.
"You know what? I'm tired of this I'm finna go across the corner for some drinks cause knowing Bryce he gone forget." Sarah says still outta breath. Skai chugged her drink glaring at Mikey who was rubbing his eyes with his shirt. "I better go too. Trae you tryna take us?" Skai asks him and Trae nods grabbing his phone and stuff after shooting the ball one more time.
"Don't go killing each other." He says to us but I wasn't paying him no mind as I scrolled through tiktok. I liked one of Lebunny's videos talking about respecting women yet knowing how to lead.
