Barriers Ch. 2
I arrived at Hayford Academy within ten minutes and cruised into the parking lot.
The parking lot had rows and rows of luxury cars from Range Rovers to Mercedes' to Aston Martins and ... OH MY GOD! Was that a Bugatti Veyron?
Holy potato wasn't that car worth like $1.7 million! I guess some people have money to burn; still I would love to get a ride in a car like that.
It's the fastest street legal car and it could reach 253 mph.
I thought of my ford focus and it seemed more like a VW Beetle to me now that I had seen that Bugatti.
I always thought that my car was pretty cool, back home in I was the only one of my friends whose parents could afford to buy them a brand new car. They all had to make do with old second-hand cars.
With a sigh, I grabbed my bag and got out of my car. The parking lot was pretty empty save for three other people getting out of their cars. I left the parking lot and walked towards the main building.
As soon as I went through the gates, I gasped at the sight before me.
The place was beautiful (never thought I'd say that about school). There were red rose bushes lined alongside the stone pathways and the lawn was the freshest green I've ever seen. The cherry blossom trees were swaying gently with the wind.
The school building itself was made with red brick and had ivy growing along its walls. The building looked old but in a sophisticated way.
I know that it's an expensive school but I was expecting grey buildings and a grey atmosphere not this wonderful place.
Looking around me I saw some students talking animatedly into their phones, some sitting in groups on the grass talking and basking in the warm sun.
