Draco glances up when the door to his room opens again. Harry is standing in the door beside a small brunette woman smiling a little shakily. She seems to be talking a mile a minute and Harry is nodding his head to her words.
"Oh we're here, don't get lost again!" The lady waves and scurries away leaving Harry standing awkwardly by the door waving his hand slowly.
"Who was that?" Draco asks, his eyebrow slightly raised. His parents and Charles left a few minutes ago, something about showing Charles the manor and the grounds since Narcissa really liked Charles. Draco doesn't mind, he kind of likes the quiet. Charles can be a little much and his mother needs a friend.
"Apparently she is Corvus' step-sister? She found me wandering the halls and brought me back," Harry rubs the back of his neck, not wanting to worry Draco with his worries.
"How strange," Draco says looking at the brunet. Harry just nods his head and sits down in the chair looking anywhere but the blond.
"Are you alright?" Draco asks looking at the slightly melancholic Harry.
"I should be asking you that," Harry says offering a small smile. His eyebrows are furrowed slightly and his smile tense.
"I'm fine, no after effects. The docs think I should be good to go in an hour or so. But, really what's bothering you?" Draco reaches out towards Harry, Harry gently takes his hand in his.
Harry sighs, deciding to stare at the completely uninteresting tile floors instead of Draco.
"You're completely right about everything," Harry starts, moving his eyes to stare out of the bright window. His eyes watching the people on the street, never looking over at the blond. "I've brought you nothing but stress and I've put you in danger more times I can count. It's not fair to you, it's not at all. All I do is put the people I love in danger and I don't know what to do. I thought this was all over with, but every time I get comfortable then something happens. I just don't know how much more danger I can put you in."
Draco lets out a little chuckle causing Harry to furrow his eyebrows tighter. Draco scoffs and shakes his head slightly.
"Harry, you don't have to protect me. I'm a big boy, I can deal with whatever bullshite these idiots throw at me. I may be a melodramatic prat, but I'm not going to leave you because people poison me, curse me, or attack me. You're stuck with me now," Draco smiles at the flabbergasted look on Harry's face. Harry shakes his head and frowns deeply.
"You say it like that stuff is normal though! It's not, you should have a normal life, just doing your job and not worrying if you're going to get hexed because some stupid wizard sees you! Or get poisoned because of idiots who don't know how to grow up!" Harry throws his hands in the air, reminding Draco of a child gearing up for a tantrum.
"When has anything ever been normal for us? I didn't decide to date you because I knew it would all be sunshine and butterflies. I am with you because for some reason I really do like you, I don't know why, you're still a specky prat with a hero complex," Draco smiles at the little offended noise Harry makes.
"I do not-"
"Love, yes you do. Just accept that fact and we can get on with the conversation," Draco smirks at the pout on Harry's face. He gently cups Harry's face and pulls him closer to him.
"I'm still sorry for causing all of this trouble," Draco has Harry's face squished between his hands, so the words are slightly muffled as the brunet speaks them. Harry is trying to fight off a grin at the way Draco keeps sticking out his tongue and scrunching up his nose.
"I'm not listening to you," Draco sing songs, still squishing Harry's cheeks. Harry finally smiles and Draco smiles brightly back. Draco leans closer pressing a kiss to Harry's nose. Harry scrunches up his nose and swats Draco's hands. The blond simply smiles widely and laughs at the brunet.
