It had been three days since the thing that happened with her phone. Three days since she has had a message from it.
Gillian had debated telling someone about it. Nobody would believe her and her mom had been asleep the entire time.
She was sitting on the school bus alone, her street was the first the bus would stop at and the last to be dropped off.
Gillian hadn't slept for two days now and it was starting to catch up with her.She leaned her head against the glass and closed her eyes but her head kept violently bouncing against the glass.
"The movies lied." she mutter bitterly to herself. The bus jerked to a stop. Meagan came bounding towards her once she spotted Gillian.
Meagan had red fiery hair that looked like she had stuck her finger in a light socket. Freckles covered her nose and forehead and her eyes were bright green."Hey weirdo, how are ya? And why aren't you answering my texts?" Meagan said really fast. She was always hyper so she was always speaking quickly and bouncing around.
"What messages?" Gillian asked. Her phone hadn't received a signal notification since the freaky incident on Saturday.
"I had asked you if you wanted to go to the mall on Sunday, then I called your phone, then texted again. Never answered. Are you mad at me? Where is your phone?" Meagan said in a rush before lunging for Gillian's backpack.
Gillian tensed up when Meagan pulled out the cell phone. She hated the sight of that thing; it struck fear into her.
After fiddling around with it for awhile Meagan frowned."It says you have no new messages or texts. Mine must be broken or maybe yours it broken." she started blabbing on about the voicemail being broken as well until the bus stopped abruptly which sent Meagan crashing face first into the of the seat in front of them.
More people got onto the bus, everyone having their own conversation with themselves not even aware of the hosted noise Gillian's phone made the moment she bus started up again.
The noise was a screech mixed with scrapping metal. This startled both girls, Meagan dropped the phone and it started sliding to the back of the bus.
"What the hell was that noise? What kind of ringtone is that? Why would you have that as a setting?" Meagan sputtered.
"That's not a ringtone, I uh,
I think my phone is broken. It's been glitching out lately." Gillian answered. She knew that it was more that glitching out but would Meagan really believe what was going on with her phone.By the time she had gotten her phone from the back of the bus Will joined.
"Hi Gill," he said smiling at her.
Leaning in she gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey," she replied.Meagan started flailing her arms around and got all excited.
"Otp right here OTP!" She started yelling. A few people turned their heads to see what on earth she was going on about but lost interest.Gillian gave her a small shove to get her to calm down. Meagan did this any time Will and Gillian did anything that showed affection towards each other.
Will told them about the movie he took Matty to when Gillian's phone went off.
She didn't want to look at it. She was even resenting holding the thing but when it started sounding off again and again she gave in and looked at the screen.
