Chapter Two: Community Service

Tubbo awoke with a knock on his door. He slowly got up to go answer it

"Yes..?" He said, half asleep.

"Paper for Tommy." Dream said, smiling. Tubbo remembered what happened yesterday and immediately drew nervous. "Read it if you want, but it's for Tommy." Tubbo nodded and went inside, closing the door. He could hear Dream walking away. Tubbo quickly got dressed. He needed to give it to his friend but part of him didn't. It would just put him into a bad mood. But anyways, he had to. So, he ran to Tommy's house, and knocked twice on the door.

Tommy was already awake but opened the door sleepily. He yawned. "Yes, Tubbo?"

"Dream wanted me to give this to you. Your paper saying your going to be with Niki for a today," Tubbo said, and handed Tommy the paper.

Tommy sighed. He looked up at Tubbo "Who are you with?"

"I'm not... I'm having the weekend off. We're you even listening during the meeting? You start in 15 minutes.. and I have to go in like 10."

"Well we might as well head over now. I have nothing better to do," Tommy went back inside to change and came out quickly, clearly annoyed.

"Do you think your first day will go well? I think it will, Niki is very nice."

Tommy began walking to Niki's house with Tubbo. "I don't know. We'll see."

Once they made it to Nikis house, Tubbo whispered to Tommy, "You knock."

Tommy knocked, a little annoyed he was the only one who had to work.

Niki answered the door, still in her pajamas. "Oh! Hello Tommy!" She said, and smiled. "You must be here for your service! Dream told me about it." Tubbo waved bye to Tommy and left.

Tommy rolled his eyes and nodded.

Niki noticed the eye-roll. "Your jobs arent hard, no reason to eye-roll. Come inside , ill show you what you need to do," She said, and moved to the side a bit so Tommy could enter.

Tommy sighed and entered Niki's house.

"Over there.."She said, and pointed to the kitchen sink, piled with bowls, spoons, measuring cups, and more. "Clean it all, and put it to dry on the drying rack next to the sink. I baked cookies, croissants, and a Dutch apple pie last night, so any of that will be your choice as your reward at the end of all of your tasks." Niki was trying to make the best of the situation as she walked over to a wall, grabbed a broom and starting sweeping the floor.

Tommy groaned and walked over to the sink. He began to wash the dishes but felt a bit overwhelmed at the sight of it. He eyed Niki behind him and positioned himself to where he could easily fight back. He didn't trust her for some reason.

Niki went into the kitchen and got a recipe book and a pen, and went to sit down at the dining table and began writing an updated version of Dutch apple pie.

Tommy finally finished after 15 minutes and dried his hands. He walked over to Niki. "I'm done."

Niki looked up from the table and said "Perfect! Thank you so much. I have two more things for you, first go and mop the hallway at the front door." She looked back down and continued writing...

After a while of mopping and eventually vacuuming Niki's house, Tommy plopped down on the seat by her. He refused any kind of reward, arguing against taking pity treatment.

Niki sighed. "Can you take this to Dream then? He should be at the white house." She handed him a box

"Okay..." Tommy took the box and walked out the door. He walked to the White House, trying to ignore the feeling inside of his stomach that was telling him he wouldn't enjoy netting Dream today. He reached the White House and knocked on Dream's office door.

"Come in..?" Dream said, confused. Once he saw it was Tommy, he smiled. He got up and took the box from his hands, putting it on his desk. "Wait here." Dream walked out of the room, and called Tubbo, who said he'd be there in a few minutes. Dream stuck his head back in the room and said "Tubbo will be here in a few minutes, I have to go pick up a paper..." And the end he smiled and said "A paper for you."

"Okay?" He sat down on one of the chairs. What kind of paper? He was confused.

Tubbo walked in the room "Oh hey Tommy! What brings you here?" He sat down in Dream's chair.

"Something I had to do for Niki," he mumbled. "Dream said he had to get a paper for me...any idea what it is?"

"Uhhhh....i have no clue."

Dream walked in the room a few moments later and saw Tubbo in his chair. The short boy jumped up quickly in embarrassment.

"Here you go, this is who you are going to be spending the day with tomorrow. " Dream handed Tommy the paper, at the bottom had Dream's signature and two other empty lines. "Sign the line in the middle, and get Karl to sign the other one." Dream reached over to his desk and got a pen, giving it to Tommy.

Tommy sighed and signed the paper. He looked at Tubbo. "Do you think you can get Karl to sign it? I don't know where he is..."

Tubbo got up and motioned for Tommy to follow. He walked out of the room into the hallway, turning towards the door. He opens it. "See that door over to the left of the front desk? Go there. I have to upload a file on the computer. I'll be here if you need me." Tubbo left.

Tommy nodded and walked to where Tubbo said to go. He opened the door and stepped into the room. He saw Karl and sighed, holding out the paper and pen and asked him to sign it, avoiding eye contact.

"Welcome back. I hope your first day of community service was good," Karl took the paper and pen, looked at the paper up and down then signed it. "I dont really know what to do with it, go give it back to Dream."

Tommy nodded and turned around walking back out. He reentered the room Dream was in and gave it to him.

Shorter chapter but I got two out in two days! Didn't think I'd be able to do that. Again, feel free to comment!
