When the Salem active her magic the King realize the danger of the situation so he searched far and wide within his kingdom territory for a warrior.
He found you and you were chosen by the master sword.
At first when you became Zelda bodyguard she resented you. She hated you. You were the reminder of her failure.
She was being attacked by Ganon Minion when you protected her and took a lot of injuries for her.
She tended your wounds for a week. When your wounds threatened your life. Zelda began regretting everything she said to you and how she treated you and asked the goddess to heal you and a chance to start anew.
Her prayers were answered and within a week you were back to yourself. Zelda apologize and asked to start anew which you agreed.
Overtime during the whole preparations to stop Ganon she fell in love with you.
When you almost died protecting her her powers awoken and she demanded her guards to take you to a shrine.
When Zelda sealed Ganon away temporarily for 100 years she began to worry about you. Thinking you had died without her saying how she felt about you.
100 years later you awoken with most of your memories gone and with her guidance your memory came back and you destroyed Ganon.
Once she was finally free she gave you a kiss and admitted to the feelings she held for all those years.
