chapter 2: One crazy demi-god coming right up

I was still lying in bed and trying to process what just happened. How could this be true? If I am right, I just met Iris and that would explain a lot that happened in my life... like that one time my hpp (hilarious pen-pal) was sad and I didn't know how to help. I wished I could and then there was this magical rainbow where she lived!

Suddenly I heard my door creaking and Cane walked in. He started explaining what was going on:" Hey Prey" he said with a dry smile "I got you some chocolate!"
"Cane, what happened?" I asked.
"Well..." He said with a deep breath:" Iris is our mother she thought she could raise a family here on earth and stay! You where born when she had to leave, Zeus punished her by not letting her speak to us for 13 years. Now that you are 10 she came back!"
"How long have you known?
"Ever since I was 4 and she had to leave. Dad was heartbroken and I had to take care of you."
I stared at him in awe: he had gone through all of that without having a mental breakdown. Then who am I to think I am going to die when I have a scratch on my knee!

Just when I wanted to ask him if I was okay, he started sobbing. I gave him a tight hug. "it's okay Preya, now that you know, that knot in my stomach is loosing..." He said while wiping his tears. How am I supposed to let my brother who was always there for me alone, in this state!? My bottom lip started shaking and I wanted to cry, but before I could the bell rang...
When I opened the door, I saw my best friend Kejia and a random guy. Keija looked full of concern and the guy next to her I now recognized. It was her cousin Moon-eye (but everyone calls him Max)

Just so you're informed: Kejia is a mysterious person, when you think you know everything she still has secrets. On the outside she looks like cool and funny at the same-time. Her hair is dyed blue, falls on her shoulders and she has bangs. Her eyes are pure green. Then you have Max, he is the opposite of Kejia. Whe both are 13 and Max is 14 When he is in a relationship he is very loyal, but he is shy when he is falling for someone (when I met him his crush came over and i saw it). He is a vegetarian but likes hunting, only on bad animals though. I had only met him once but when whe where together that one night after he had gotten upset, I had found him on the roof looking at the moon. That is how he had gotten his real name. On the outside he looked like a normal guy. His brown hair was not long but not like very short, just a little messy. He had light blue eyes and is almost always smiling. He wasn't then and it was concerning. I had heard a story that he was driven to a hospital and he was laughing just to lighten the mood! When I saw him the first time I thought he was "blot" like I said it back then. While in the real world Kejia suddenly grabbed my arm while I was having a flashback and dragged me inside the house again. "We need to talk", she said... "About what??",it was all really confusing and interesting at the same time!"
"You know what, let's make this my style!

Welcome to the game of secrets!" she yelled with a high pitched-voice."This is your first question! Have you EVER said you didn't like a banana while you did?"
"I guess so..."
"Do you like baseball bats?"
"yes?" I answered confused
"Are you a demi-god?" she said with a face full of excitement.
"How do you know!!!???" I stood up to fast and got dizzy.
"If I have to be honest, my grandma was a child of Apollo and I actually am a child of Echo. I was just about to knock when I heard the story your brother was telling." she pointed at him with a smirk and said:" thanks for the info btw!"
"How many demi-gods live here!?"
"Ow, no I was just send on a mission by the gods. Find as MANY demi-gods as you can, I failed cause I liked you guys too much."
I thought I might pass out, if she is a halfblood them why would she bring her cousin with her to this weird thing. Slowly I started to get what was going on...
