Since there was nothing actually wrong with Celia, she couldn't spend the rest of the day in the hospital wing. This meant that she had to face Cedric, who she knew was waiting for her outside.
After mustering up her courage, she left the hospital wing and began making her way up to the Ravenclaw common room.
Cedric jumped up from the floor and immediately began to follow her.
"Seals, please talk to me. Please let me apologise" begged Cedric.
Celia ignored him and increased her pace, hoping to get to the tower quickly, so that she could shut Cedric out of her life.

"I'm sorry for saying what I did" continued Cedric, as he started to run to keep up with Celia.
"There, now that you've said sorry, you can leave me alone" replied Celia coldly.
"No, I need to explain. And I need you to forgive me" admitted Cedric.
"Well, I don't want to listen to you, and I am certainly not ready to forgive you"
"I feel awful about what I said. And while you were missing, I was so worried about you. I was terrified that I'd never get the chance to apologise"
"Well I didn't die. So you've had your chance to apologise and clear your conscience. Now that that's done, get out of my way and leave me alone".

"I really am sorry Seals. I never meant to hurt you like that" insisted Cedric.
Celia took a deep breath and stopped walking, before turning around to face Cedric.
"You didn't mean to what? Basically call me a whore, just for kissing a boy. Or tell me that the person I was dating, was only with me, to get information about you. Or what about the part where you punched said person in the face, just for kissing me" snapped Celia.
"I'm sorry about all of that. I just got protective over you, when I saw you kissing the Beauxbatons boy" admitted Cedric.
"Yeah, I noticed" said Celia coldly.

"Look, you've never had a boyfriend before, so I was just looking out for you. I wanted to make sure that he wasn't using you, or forcing you to do anything.  I promise that I won't do anything when I see you with him in the future" informed Cedric.
"Oh, you've made sure that no one will ever date me again, when you punched Benjamin in the face, because he's certainly not going to want to see me again, in case you force him into another fight. So well done, you succeeded in making me lonely again. No one is going to want to date me, if they're afraid that you will beat them up if they do... You always say that you want me to be like everyone else, but when I act normal, you freak out. Maybe deep down, you like that I'm a weirdo, because then you get the chance to stand out even more" replied Celia.

"How can you even say that?" Gasped Cedric.
"Well, you did ruin my first ever date, so perhaps you don't want me to be happy and have friends" suggested Celia.
"You're my sister, of course I want you to be happy. I just flipped out because I didn't like to see someone putting his hands all over you" admitted Cedric.
"We were just kissing!" Yelled Celia, causing several people to look their way.
"I'm sure you and Cho would have gotten up to much worse things, had I not ruined your night by making you feel guilty about me running into the Forbidden Forest, because of what you said" continued Celia.

"I just wanted to protect my little sister. Surely you can understand my motives and intentions, even if my actions were wrong" said Cedric.
"How many more times do I have to tell you, that I do not need your protection. We are only 1 year apart. I am not a small child, whom you need to watch over. I have my own life. And from now on, my life does not involve you. I am going to do whatever I like, and pretend like I don't have a brother" revealed Celia.
"No matter how much you pretend, I will always be your brother. And you won't be able to avoid me at home" replied Cedric.

"When we return home for the summer holidays, I expect father is going to want to take you everywhere to show you off. Even if you don't win, you will always be a Hogwarts champion, which is something father can boast about until the day you die. I am sick of competing with you. So, from this day forward I do not have a brother. I am not a Diggory at all, just a lonely girl with no family" announced Celia.
Cedric's face fell, "Do you really hate me that much?".
"You have made my life miserable for as long as I can remember. And this whole Triwizard Tournament is just a step too far. I can't deal with you being a champion, which is why I must free myself from you and the rest of our family" explained Celia.

"I would give up being a champion for you, if that's what it took to make you care about me again" informed Cedric.
"But we both know that you can't drop out, because you entered into a magically binding contract, when you willingly placed your name in the Goblet of Fire. So saying that to me, means nothing at all. They're just empty words" sighed Celia.
"I would do anything for you. Anything" insisted Cedric.
"I'm sure you would. That's part of the problem. You are just too perfect and noble. No one will ever look at me, not stood next to you, the amazing Cedric Diggory" replied Celia.

"I didn't ask for all this attention!" Shouted Cedric.
"You didn't have to play Quidditch, or dress well, or be overly friendly either. It is all your personality traits that make you so likable. You choose to be that way, and do the things that get you noticed" admitted Celia.
"You could do all the things I've done, since you're easily as clever as me, if not even smarter"
"But I'm not good on a broom, or pretty. And I'm an introvert. I was born that way, so I'm never going to be happy around big crowds of people. And I'm always going to be awkward at socialising".

"You could make friends if you really wanted to, and if you actually put some effort into it" admitted Cedric.
"Making friends might come naturally to a star like you, but not all of us have your gifts... I feel like we are going round in circles here. Look, you're popular and I'm a loser, and that's never going to change. So the only way for me to be moderately happy, is to distance myself from you" announced Celia.
Cedric sighed, "If that's what will make you happy, then do it. All I want is for you to be happy, even if that means you have to cut me out of your life".
"So, you'll leave me alone, and stop interfering in my life?" Questioned Celia.
"You're on your own now. I won't get in the way anymore, I promise" answered Cedric.
"Thank you for understanding".
