Lily

Michael and I have been sitting on the sand by the water for a solid 30 minutes of our lives. We've gotten to know each other more with the little information we gave each other about ourselfs.

I learned that Michael is from Austrailia but comes to the United States every summer to vist his mom. He's 19 years old and dyes his hair way to much as he told me.

By the sounds of it, his hair is probably going to fall out before he's twenty- one.

We continue to talk to each other and exchange jokes with each other, until Luke comes and finds Michael to bring him back up to the bonfire.

"Hey it was good talking to you Lily." Michael stands up form the sand and tries to shake off the sand on his black skinny jeans.

'Yeah it was good talking to you too," I smile at him "I guess ill see you around then?' I question. He nods and takes his phone out of his back pocket.

"Could I have your number in case you or I wanna hang out sometime?" he chuckles. He hands me his phone and i gladly take it from him. I click on the contacts button and add my number. I put one of those cute emojis by my name cause I do that with everyones phone.

It's a bad habit I guess, but everyone does it.

I hand him back his phone and he slides it back into his back pants pocket.

"Well I'll see you around, Bye." He waves goodbye and I wave back and he starts to walk back up to the party with Luke.

I decide I should go find Lexi so I don't loose her again like I do at every party.

I walk back up the hill of sand towards the fire. I then spot Lexi dancing the night away and almost catching herself on fire a few times.

I jog up to her and catch her by the arm before she falls on her aśs

"Hey, I think maybe you should call it a night Lexi. Let go back to the cabin yeah?" She nods agreeing and rest her head on my chest.

I use all my might to hold her up safely and not let her fall. We finally reach the cabin and I lay her down on her bed after taking her shoes off.

I then change out of my clothes and into some pajamas and grab my laptop.

I go on some social media before I go to bed like, Twitter and tumblr before my eyes feel heavy.

I put my laptop on my side table and turned over ready to go asleep before I heard my phone ding.

Seriously at 2 in the morning, I thought to myself.

I turn back over groaning as the bright like from my phone blinds me, but I'm surprised who texted me.

It was Michael.

I silently squealed to myself cause I was hoping he would text me.

Michael😈 - Goodnight beautiful☺️ Hope to see you tomorrow at the beach.

I smile down at my phone and look over to Lexi looking peaceful sleeping.

I decide not to respond and try to get some sleep with happy thoughts running through my mind.

It was now one in the afternoon and Lexi is still asleep.

She's gonna have a really bad hang over when she wakes up. So being the good friend I am I grab 2 Advil from my tolietree bag and a glass of water and put them on the bed stand. I write a note that I went to take a walk and get dressed.

I put on my navy blue bikini and high waisted Jean shorts over top of it with a black tank top. I put my sandals on, grab my sunglasses and I'm out the door.

I decide since I didn't grab anything to eat I would need my wallet so I sneak back inside trying not to wake Lexi up and grab it and run out. I successfully do so and close the door behind me.

I start walking down the steps and down the road. I soon spot a coffee shop and walk into it.

It smells of coffee grains and I've never been more in love cause it's my favorite smell.

I walk up to the cash register and look up at the menu.

"Hello welcome to the "Coffee House" what can I get you?" A sweet girl that looks around my age says to me.

I decide on getting a Caramel frappé with whip cream and a banana nut muffin. The girl takes my order and I move to the side to wait for my food.

After waitng a minute she gives me my food and I find a place to sit. I sit in the corner by the beach looking out on the waves.

I sip some of my frappé and lick the whip cream of the lid. I eat tiny bits of my muffin while texting my mom telling her I'm fine and she dosen't need to worry about me.

My mom worries a lot don't even get me started.

I finshed my muffin and frappé and start making my way out of the little coffee shop. I open the door and the bell chimes knowing I was leaving.

I decide to go back to the cabin and wake up Lexi before it get's any later in the day. I make my way through the door and see Lexi already up, sitting on her bed on her phone.

"Hey your finally awake." I say as I sit my phone on the coffee table. and take my flip flops off.

"Yeah I woke up with the worst headache in the world, that's the reason you should never let me drink." She says as she rubs her temples trying to ease the pain.

"Sorry you kind of ran away from me as soon as we got to the bonfire." I shrugged my shoulders. Lexi rolled her eyes and got up.

"Well I'm gonna take a shower then we can go do something I guess." I nod okay as she walks into the bathroom with her phone in her hands.

I walk over to the couch and sit down. I grab the remote and try to find something to watch, but it's ether stupid reality TV shows or movies that play over and over.

I soon give up and Lexi comes out with a bathing suit on with shorts and a T-shirt over top.

"Ready?" She asks as she slips her sandals on and grabs the beach bag.

"Yeah just let me get my phone and a towel." I get up from the couch and go into the bathroom and grab a grey towel. I then walk back over to the coffee table and get my phone.

Soon Lexi and I walk out the door and down to the beach. We set our stuff down on the sand and lay our towels out.

"I texted Luke and said to meet us here so he'll be coming maybe." Lexi says as she puts sunscreen on.

"Oh okay so you'll be with him must of the day then?" I ask smirking. She gives me a devil stare but soon laughs along.

"Yeah probably, I can't help it he's looks like a surfer guy, but he can't surf for shît." she shrugs.

I take my shorts and tank top off and lay down on my towel hoping to get a tan maybe.

I put my sunglasses on and start to relax. But I'm soon startled when a dark shadow stands over me.

Seriously dude can you not right now?

"Can I help you?" I sit up on my elbows as he stands there squinting his eyes from the sun.

Oh it was just Michael.

"No I just came with Luke but he's probably gonna be with some girl the whole day, and I saw you and came over cause you looked lonely." he says.

I get up and look over to see Lexi in the water with Luke.

Great now I'm stuck with Michael.

"Oh, her names Lexi she's my bestfriend." I tell him. "I thought I told you about her last night?" He scrunches his eyebrows together.

"Oh I don't remember if you did, oh well." he chuckles.

Michael sits down next to me on the sand.

"You just gonna sit there then?" I ask him.

"I guess as long as you are."
