Chapter One: Raid

You breathed in.

The crisp, burning smell of volcanic gases entered your nostrils as you took a step, marveling at the structure.

The hideout belonging to Team Magma was breathtaking... literally. As you looked around, the heat made it difficult to breathe. You walked slowly into the cavern...

You walked quietly, freezing every time you heard a sound. You occasionally stopped and listened. Team Magma grunts were talking in most of the rooms you encountered. You swiftly ran past any room that seemed to contain any staff belonging to team magma.

You were looking for a specific person... an admin... where was the submarine room? Ah, just one more turn. You became more excited with every step you took.

And there it was. The room was vast, and the sound of the splashing of water filled your ears. You looked around, and... sure enough, there she was!

It was Courtney! You instantly abandoned any stealthiness and ran towards her.

"FIGHT ME, BITCH!!!!" you yelled as you charged. Confused, she turned towards you but instinctively got out of your way. You slipped on the edge of the floor and fell into the water where the submarine floated.

When you surfaced, you shook your hair out of your face and began to scramble out of the water. Courtney was looking down at you, clearly bewildered.
"what..."
"as I was saying... (pant) FIGHT ME!"

She was still quite confused, but she did so. This was the moment you had waited for. She grabbed a pokeball and she sent out...

her CUTE, FUZZY CAMERUPT!!!!

"YAAAAY!!!!!!!" You squealed as you rushed over to the hulking pokemon. You launched yourself right at it, and hugged it around it's large neck. The Camerupt was very startled and began running, though you were still hugging it, and you managed to ease yourself up onto its back, behind its head with your back against the first of the two rocks on it's back. The Camerupt was panicked by now and began to roar angrily and stampede around the room, smashing into objects.

"WOOOOO!!! THIS IS EPIC" You yelled.

Maxie had been in his room when he heard the sound of a camerupt's roar, followed by the stomping of hooves. He briefly wondered what was happening, but was too caught up in his geology textbook to care about what was happening. He resumed reading.

Back in the submarine room, you were still on the Camerupt's warm back. It was kind of a miracle that you hadn't hit anything and gotten brain damage. Wait, spoke too soon. The camerupt flung you into a wall, and everything went black.....
