Chapter Two: Found

You woke up, but you couldn't quite remember when you woke up. All you could tell was that you were indeed awake at this moment. You were sprawled on the ground. Hard, warm ground. You looked around and saw that you must be on the mountain which Team Magma's base was hidden in. Ah, that's right... you had been riding an absolutely adorable Camerupt!!! You sighed in happiness, remembering the lovely experience. Well, it was lovely untill you were bucked into a wall, but, yeah.

You got up slowly and stretched. It was a vast island, but so barren. Brown rock stretched for a long time and led down to the sea. You began to walk down the steep rock.

How did you get there, anyway? It would make most sense that Courtney or some Team Magma staff were tired of your bullshit and carried you out here. You smiled and continued walking.

However, you paused upon detecting motion out the corner of your eye. A bright yellow lump...? You ran toward the distant lump, still feeling dizzy from being knocked out. As you got closer, you realized with joy that it was a Numel, the pre-evolution of Camerupt!!! You ran faster.

The Numel was fainted and lay limp on the ground. You tried to pick it up, but it was surprisingly heavy. You managed to ease it into your arms, and cradled it. It was strangely cool to the touch, which was unusual and possibly dangerous for a fire type. Looking around, you noticed a poke ball next to a note. Did the poke ball belong to Numel...? You picked up the note and read.

"Here, we don't want this Numel because it has bad stats. You can evolve it so that you don't have to bother us every time you want to pet a Camerupt. Please leave us alone.
Sincerely,
Team Magma."

"YEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!" You yelled. You could really have a Camerupt of your own! You couldn't believe it. But first, you had to get Numel to a Pokémon Center quickly, because fire types are generally not cold. You picked up the poke ball.

"Numel, return!"

The limp Numel was sucked into the poke ball. You picked it up and put it in your bag before running down the rock again. You would get on your boat and travel to a Pokémon Center!
