It's been a few days since, well, it.

The meltdown.

Tony wasn't sure what to do. Does he reach out to the kid? Or does he want for him to come back?

He hasn't gotten much sleep (try he hasn't gotten any sleep) since he and Peter argued. He's also been avoiding the rest of the Avengers. He thought all of this would be resolved by now, but it's not.

Tony took a deep breath. He has to do the most miserable thing ever: admit he was wrong and ask the team for help. Ew.

~~~~~~
The room was tense as the team - minus Thor, Bruce, Vision, and Bucky, who were gone for different reasons - stared at each other, then Tony, and then back to each other. Tony stared at the ground for several minutes, before slowly bringing his head up. "I just wanted to say, I'm sorry."
Everyone has varying degrees of shock on their face while Nat rolled her eyes. "Sorry for yelling at the kid, or sorry for letting him leave?"
"Both?" Tony said.
"It's ok, Tony. We understand why you're upset. The kid shouldn't have hidden the fact that he's working at Oscorp, much less work for it in the first place." Steve comforted.
"But we aren't the ones you should be apologizing to." Sam continued for Steve.
"I know." Tony sighed. "Peter's been ignoring my calls."
"I think he just needs more time." Wanda pitched in. "This was a big fight, from what I hear. Let him come to you."
Clint shook his head. "I disagree. I think we should go see him, I think something's wrong. Peter promised he'd come back and see me, but he's been ignoring my calls, too."
"Clint, I hate to say this, but Peter probably just said that so you'd leave him alone." Sam shrugged. Clint opened his mouth to say something but closed it.
"You're probably right. He's probably just at home, chilling." He finally said, his eyes filled with hurt and worry.
~~~~~~

They had him strapped down to the table, his shirt gone, meaning his back was pressed against the cold metal. Peter shivered, and tried to sit up, but failed due to his restraints.

Peter's already been stabbed, electrocuted, burned, and suffocated. Fun times! (Oh gosh he needs to escape, why are they doing this? How can he make them stop, just make them stop, please stop, stop stop STOP-)

Dr. Connors and Doc Oct were both in the room, examining from the wall as their assistants bustled around him. Peter stared straight at the ceiling, squinting his eyes as the bright lights burned.

Dr. Connors cleared their throat and turned on their recorder again as the workers injected something into Peter via needle. "Experiment will be given a heavy sedative and muscle paralysis, and then the dissection will begin."

Peter's eyes wicked and lifted his head up to look at the two men. "Dissection? What the hell?! You can't- you can't do that to me, I-I'm still alive, please-"

"It's a shame you're still alive." Doc Oct sneered. "If it was up to me, you'd be dead long ago. Just be thankful we are merciful enough to make sure you will be unconscious during the procedure.

The darkness in the corner of his eyes started to creep forward as the drugs forced Peter to lay his head down. He did everything in his power to keep his eyes open, but he had no choice but to succumb to the numbing darkness.

~~~~~~
Peter woke up to the shrill beeping of a heart monitor, which only picked up its pace the more he became conscious. Everything was blurry, but he could see the lab assistants were frantic as they ran around, one of them yelling, "Sir, he's awake!"
