Third Person Pov~
Silence, such a meaningless word to those who lived in it their whole lives. However, to those who never truly experienced pure and disastrous silence, weren't all to familiar with its haunting ways. Silence was the only thing that had surrounded Peter as he laid restlessly upon the roofs gravel like surface. Up there, as he was unable to find the much needed comfort on his soft mattress in the apartment complex below.

Ever since he had returned from the disastrous events that still haunted him to this very day, having given him a cruel taste of just how awful and heart shattering this world could be, Peter was never the same.

Peter had always found or at least believed the idea of complete and utter silence would've been a good thing to fall victim too. Though, as comforting as the idea was, it wasn't all it cracked up to be.

Peter believed silence was good, as it meant there was no possibilities of getting lost in the horrid sea of rampaging and messed up thoughts that once laid docile in his mind. The very ones that would tare you up repeatedly just for the shake of it. Silence meant peace.

  Silence was good.

  Until it wasn't.

Because silence was nothing more then the peace before the storm nowadays. A constant reminder that things can only get worse, more worse then they already are. Far more terrifying and heart breaking then it already has been. Silence was nothing more then the before of something horrible.

Silence would mean that Peter was alone. Something he had, as of recently, told himself he needed. Peter allowed himself to believe that being alone meant no one could get hurt by him, that because no one was around to save the boy from burning alive, no one was around to risk their life by caring for the broken boy. Silence was nothing more then a reminder that May was gone. That Ben was gone. That Tony was too.

Silence meant that Eddie wasn't there to comfort him, silence meant that Eddie wasn't there to remind him that he'd be alright. That it's only going to get better and more manageable from here on out. Silence meant that he was completely and utterly alone. Something he was use to after all these years had passed. Though as much as he was use to it, that didn't make it any more manageable. Because Peter knew he was alone. He knew that he was drowning and no one was around to save him.

Peter knew that after all he's been through he should want the peace that came within the silence, that he should want a break from his constantly beckoning thoughts. Though it was beginning to seem like the silence was far worse then any self degrading thoughts or ruthless reminders the voices could conjouur up. Like having those constant thoughts were better then not having anything at all.

Shuffling shoftly in his spot, feeling the rough material claw away at his thin drenched shirt he sighed. A deep and lifeless like sigh. The eerie silence that had dawned upon him not to long ago was not entirely what it had cracked up to be. It wasn't in the slightest bit what he wanted. What he dreamed it would be.

The silence wasn't getting any better, it continued to loom over his exausted and unmoving body, swallowing him up without a care in the world. Peter was left to ponder rather it was a mistake or not, rather or not he should call out for someone. Though that was nothing more then a stupid idea. Peter couldn't call out because there was no one to call out too. No one who cared enough to come.

Leaning back even further, Peter stretched himself out across the roof in a star like figure. A small and faint smile played upon his lips as the cool air that washed over him made him feel safer then he had in a long time. He smiled at the chilled rains that consumed his endlessly throbbing body. That soothed his worries about being alone in this silence forever.
