CHAPTER-6

IN THE FOREST-

"Lady Wang, are you ready?" Lan Xingchen whispered. Weixiao looked at him and nodded. they unsheathed their swords. suddenly two arrows came towards them, they protected themselves from that. suddenly one person came to attack. Lan Xingchen whistled and the other cultivators who came with Xingchen and Wang Weixiao came out and they caught the attacker.

IN THE PUNISHMENT HALL-

Lan Chenxiang (clan leader) asked the person, "tell me why are you protecting the demons. what are you trying to do with their help?" the attacker looked nervous and frightened so he answered," I'm ....I'm not protecting the demons." Lan Mingyu gave him a deep glance. Lan Xingchen warned," if you'll tell the truth we won't do anything. or else I've found that your son is alone at home." this scared the attacker. he replied," no! childe Lan. I will tell you everything. second Childe Lan ordered us to do so." everyone got shocked. Lan Mingyu's father who was the royal advisor of the court asked, "what? Mingyu? what is he saying?" 

Lan Mingyu's character*

Lan Mingyu replied," its white lie. I didn't ask him to do this." Lan Chenxiang asked," you're sure that he ordered you?" the person replied," why would I lie when I know my son is in danger, clan leader give it a thought." Wang Weixiao stepped back as she was so scared. Lan Xingchen got angry. he unsheathed his sword and asked he attacker," Don't you want your life?" the person looked at him and laughed," Childe Lan, I love my son. I don't want him to die this young." Lan Mingyu knelt down, "Brother listen to me, brother just once." Lan Chenxiang looked so angry. his face was almost red. he ordered, " Go and lock him in the prison for next three weeks. immediately." "No Lan gege (brother)."Lan Mingyu requested but no one listened to him. when they were taking him to the prison, while passing by he looked at Weixiao. 

Wang Weixiaio's character*

Weixiao was so scared, she said, " I'm...I'm sorry Childe Lan." Lan Xingchen looked disappointed. he replied, " Lady Wang. sorry for what? you did nothing!"

NEXT DAY-

Someone knocked the door of Wang weixiao. she got up to open the door. she opened the door. she saw it was Lan Xingchen out there. she greeted, " Lan gege." " no need for this formality." replied Xingchen. she asked him to have seat and to taste the tea. they enjoyed. while enjoying the flavored tea, Wang Weixiao asked," Lan gege, why are you here today?" he replied, "Our cultivators have found that the ghost is haunting people because no one helped her and her son because his husband was in prison of the Wang clan. his body is still lying there. if we bury his body, she won't be haunting anyone." Wang Weixiao looked a little sad. 

Lan Xingchen's character*

Lan Xingchen said, "so I was passing by, thought of asking you if you want to come." Weixiao looked at him and smiled. "Why not Lan gege. I'm definitely coming." she replied. on their way to Wang clan, Lan Xingchen asked, since when you haven't visited your clan?" Weixiao replied, "since my childhood." Lan Xingchen replied, " really?" Wang Weixiao nodded," yes because I've been living alone since I was an orphan. so I dared not come here alone gege." they were standing in front of Wang clan's welcome gate. they entered. later they found the body of the person. they buried it as well as they could so that the ghost won't be haunting people of Lan clan. the place was all messed up. the royal court was broken into many pieces. they visited the royal coffin home and bowed to the clan leader ( Weixiao's parents and his older brother). Lan Xingchen saw tears in Weixiao's eyes. Wang Weixiao looked at him and said," Brother Lan, you know what ,I had two older brothers."

FLASHBACK*

After storm stopped, the people of Lan clan visited Wang clan to rescue the people left there. they saw everything there was all messed up. the royal court was all damaged. the manor was broken down. they rescued some people while they found some dead bodies too. when they went inside the royal manor which was broken, they found the royal family's dead bodies lying under the broken roof. they found all three member's body except the second brother of Wang Weixiao.

Wang Weixiao's character*

"You know what Lan gege (brother). I feel sad for myself. they couldn't find my second brother's body. whenever I think about it, it always comes in my mind that how much his body suffered that no one could even see his body. it must be painful." her teary eyes, smile with sadness was showing that she wanted to cry loudly. Lan Xingchen saw her eyes that were full of tears. he wanted to change her mood so that she won't cry any anymore. he said," Sister Wang, I thought you would tell me something interesting about your place. but all you are doing is being sad and all that. huh!" Wang Weixiao looked at him and smiled.
