"Dr. Grey? Are you okay?"

".. Yes, I'm fine - just tired is all. What is it that brings you here, Anne?"

"O-Oh, nothing really. Just checking up on you... you haven't been yourself lately."

"How sweet of you... but really, I'm fine."

He watched as the tall man lit a cigarette and placed it into his mouth, sighing before puffing out smoke - Hunter was still a little suspicious about the guy, can you blame him?

He watched as the tall man lit a cigarette and placed it into his mouth, sighing before puffing out smoke - Hunter was still a little suspicious about the guy, can you blame him?

"It's rude to stare, you know?" M stated blankly, not giving the Hunter a single glance - continuing to stare out the window.

Hunter laid both his feet onto the table and placed his hands behind his head, "Well - I let a complete stranger step in my home, so..."

M furrowed his brows slightly at his response, still rather annoyed by the man in the room besides himself - since he was dodging his every question on the girl, at this point - he's starting to assume Hunter actually knew who you were.

He had to use a different approach then.

"Let me tell you a little story," M offered - pulling a chair out for him to sit on, across from Hunter as he made himself comfortable.

The hunter raised a brow, and after a few moments of silence - he nodded as a sign to continue.

"... There was this boy, about 13 to 14 - who spent years by himself. I guess you could say he was a bit dramatic about the things he told himself, he had a good father, a home, good tuition yet he still felt alone-"

The hunter squinted his eyes gradually as the story went on and on, at this point - he couldn't hear anything, just saw the movement of his companion's mouth. William groaned, and slid a hand down his face.

So much for 'little story', huh...

"You better not move, you better not - YEP, IT'S MOVING. IT'S MOVING-"

"MONO, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND RUN."

Carter yawned - a little squeak was heard during it as he dropped his head onto his arm that was bent over the desk - messing with a pencil between his fingers in the process.

Not exactly paying any attention to the cries of the children on the screen, he asked himself why he needed to wait when he could just rush into the scene and snatch them - fucking easy.

However, it wanted him to wait - and Carter pathetically obeyed.

Then the phone started to ring, and Carter flinched from how sudden that was - almost smacking his desk with his hands, annoyed that he was startled so easily.
