"Eleven?"
You blinked, slowly turning to look at the person who uttered your name - tears unknowingly streaming down your face.
Why were you crying? It isn't like you spent much time with Six... was it something else?
"Are you okay?" Mono asked, wincing a little from the occasional sting in his ear.
He had the nerve to ask you if you were alright when he was hurting more than you.
You couldn't speak, the words you were looking for seemed non-existent and stuck to your throat - all you could do was try and sit upright, holding onto the wall for support as Mono watched in caution and ready to catch when you might fall.
Walking towards the next room, you saw the TV - still on, and going.
"I..." Mono's voice cracked, but he kept on. "I'm sorry I dragged you into this. I didn't think he..."
"You... You know him?"
"No... Yes?" Mono sat down in front of the TV, small subtle purple particles began seeping from him. He rubbed his ears, "Whenever I, uh, close my eyes - I see that television and that man. I don't - I don't know why, but... I feel like... I don't know..."
Your gaze fell on him, and towards the TV - your friend was out there, suffering most likely but you had no idea where that man took them and Mono wasn't feeling any better than you.
Sitting beside him, you slowly crept closer to his frame and laid your head against his shoulder as a small way to comfort him.
"I'm so sorry, El-"
"[Y/N]."
"W-What?"
"My name... My real name is [Y/N]." You chuckled to yourself, not bringing yourself to look at him. "Sorry I lied, I just... didn't feel comfortable just giving out my name to anyone. Just made up a random number, and went with it..."
He didn't respond. Your world slowly turned grey the longer he stayed silent.
But he started laughing quietly.
"What're you laughing at?"
"Sorry, I just... I kinda expected this from you." Mono snorted, wincing a little at the pain but continued. "[Y/N]... It suits you, the actual you."
"...Thank you, Mono."
"You're welcome, [Y/N]."
You two stayed there for a moment, taking in the view.
...
"Okay, we need to think of a plan." You stood up, "Six was captured, all good and dandy- until they most possibly will die. So, you can maybe-"
"I'll do it," Mono said, standing up as well. "I'll save Six."
You paused before giving your friend a loom of disbelief, "What... What happened to doing this together? Mono!"
"El-... [Y/N]." Mono composes himself and turned to look at you fully. "You need to stay here-*
"No! No, Mono! I'm not weak! I can help you, please let me help you!"
"[Y-"
"NO!"
You and him, stared at each other - to see who'd fall first.
Mono finally sighed, before getting closer to hold both your hands. "Okay, okay... Don't go crying on me." You almost wanted to ask, until he laid his right hand to wipe your eyes from the tears.
...
"I'm sorry, [Y/N]."
"What're you sorry f-"
He suddenly wrapped his arms around your head, and that was when you blacked out. Mono quickly carried you before you fell, bridal-style and place you down on the huge chair, and walked away towards the TV.
He took a deep breath, before giving you one last look and placed both of his hands on the screen.
The screen shined brightly, painting the walls white - and as quickly as they came, he went.

The story continues.
Apologies for the wait, the next chapter will hopefully be longer and not as rushed as this one.
