Marriage? You wish!

Ch 2 - Our first encounter

The man in a black peasant clothes was standing in a hot summer, his waving black hair capture the hearts of everyone that are with him including the knights as his crystal red eyes stare at the ocean in front of him

The man was none other than the Fiancè of the mermaid that they're waiting.

It was already noon and the knights were tired, their stomachs growls as they complain about having late meals again

Carson- stare at the ocean expressionless. Even with a frown the others can't help but be captivated with his beauty, not even the mermaid's can't compare with his unrivaled attractive features

I hate it.

He hated it. The engagement between the mermaid and him are nothing but political,   he was forced to be wed to someone he barely even knows

Ever since he was little, after 'that' incident he swear to never love ever again.

Even if he met someone in the future that fixes his broken heart, he knows that the oath that he made that day will never be broken unless he fixes the mistake he made

Carson knew the person he'll be marrying is the most unfortunate person, if his father the current emperor died earlier, the first thing Carson would do is to divorce the mermaid

'Which will never happen since he already made an oath to see his grandchildren first before dying'

It would have been great if the mermaid also feels the same way as he is because the divorce would be more easier

However, if the mermaid ever fells in love with him it would be a huge problem.

"Your Highness, They're here"

Julius, Carson's personal attendant whispered in a low voice.

Their attention turn to the wave that was heading to their direction, as someone was controlling it, the big wave stopped right before they reach the shore

A dignified man was the first to show, his blue tail like the sea made Carson realize that it was the King of Atlanta Kingdom, it was also the father of his fiancè

"Welcome to Roosevelt Empire, Your Majesty"

Merwin frown seeing how the escorts that his daughter will be getting were full men's.

As if Carson knew what he was thinking, he snapped his finger signalling someone to come out, it was a maid.

Merwin slightly made a visible smirk, he was satisfied with his son-in-law's  observation and sharpness

"My daughter's name is Chtholly, she will be in your care from now on"

"Yes"

Carson replied.

When Merwin sway his golden stick wand, a new wave form, a new person came out.

"T-that is-"

The murmur of the knights made Carson look up, upon seeing the sight in front of him he shook his head

A beautiful person was standing there, she was only dress lightly, her golden blonde hair wave as the wind plays with her, her sapphire blue eyes made everyone jaw opened seeing how her beauty can even matched with Carson

"I am Atlanta Zyrian Chtholly Bürgueon, 3rd princess of Atlanta Kingdom. I will be in your care from now on."

Chtholly curtsy in respect, Julius seeing how his Master, Carson dazed giggled before coughing loudly making Carson snapped back in reality.

Carson bowed back, embarrassed.

"I am Arc Carson De Roosevelt, Crown Prince of Roosevelt Empire, Nice to meet you Princess Chtholly."

Carson glance at Chtholly wanting to see her reaction.

He expected some blushing face with wide visible smile on her shy face but, the way her eyes look at him with vengeance as if he done something wrong, Carson's eyes look up in hope.

'Does that mean, the princess doesn't like this engagement too?'

Carson on the surface look dead as serious but in the inside he actually felt quite happy.

Chtholly noticed this and made this as the opportunity to make an agreement with Carson.

Merwin on the other hand was clueless as he stare at the two couple that he thought were in love at first sight.

Merwin along with the guard mermaid turn their backs and left.

"I'll be present to your wedding ceremony in two days, My Daughter. Goodbye for now."

Merwin look at his daughter one last time before leaving the shore and went back to the sea.

Carson flick his fingers ordering the female maid to covered Chtholly with a blanket.

Chtholly was then guided back to the carriage and on the way to the palace, the silent and awkwardness in the room was the only left before the carriage took off.
