Chapter 13

Alexa woke up and headed to school after getting ready. She met Leo and Carson in first bell like always and sat down to talk.

"Hey girl!" Leo said.

"Hi." She groaned.

"You okay?" Carson asked.

"Yeah. I just feel like shit and want this thing out of me already." They nodded.

"Sounds miserable." Leo nudged him and put a hand on her shoulder.

"How far are you?"

"30 weeks."

"Wow."

"I know. I'm exhausted."

"Is Jacob nervous?"

"No."

"Are you?" Carson asked this time.

"No, why?"

"I don't know. I guess it just would seem scary." Leo nudged him again. She got a worried look on her face. "I'm just a baby though. You are going to be fine!"

"Uhh— I guess." The bell rang and they had to go back to their seats. She thought about what he said all day. When she got home she went to her room and did homework, still thinking about it. The door opened a little bit later and Leo walked in.

"So, you ready for our long overdue sleepover?" She nodded. "Are you okay?"

"Mhm."

"Is this about Carson?" She shook her head but he knew the truth. "Seriously Alexa. Don't listen to him. He shouldn't have said it."

"But it was true."

"That doesn't matter. He was being stupid, okay? Ignore him."

"But uhh—"

"STOP!"

"Okay." He set his bag down and sat with her. They watched tv, talked, played some video games together, and had lots of fun. She actually forgot about everything for a little. The next day when Leo went home Alexa went to the living room. "Dad?" Kurt looked over.

"What's up honey?"

"Did Quinn get nervous before she had the baby?"

"Hmm?"

"Like about having it?"

"Yeah, she did. I mean, it was worth it because she got to see her beautiful baby but yeah she was nervous. Everyone is." She nodded. "Are you?" She nodded again. "Everything will be okay and your dad and I will be with you. Jacob even said he's coming too. Okay?"

"Mk."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah." He scooted closer and gave her a hug.

"If you want you could probably talk to Quinn or even Rachel."

"Yeah, okay." They sat together for a while until Alexa decided to talk to Quinn. Rachel was over too so they all got to talk and calm her down a bit. She was still kind of scared but they helped a lot.
