chapter 6

Beep beep beep...

I groaned as the sound of the alarm woke me up. Another day at school. I woke up, rubbed the sleep of my eyes and walked to the closet. I picked my uniform, being a dark navy skirt that reached my mid thigh, my ordinary white blouser and my maroon half-jersey and headed to the bathroom.

After the bath, I wrapped myself with my towel and held another towel with my other hand as I opened the door and tried drying my hair. I walked over to mom's room to peek and saw her sleeping so peacefully. She must've had a crazy night or crazy three whole days. I walked back into my room and started wearing my uniform. I made my hair in an up-do, a very neat up-do and went downstairs for some breakfast.

I made myself cereal and sat down, scrolling through my instagram. "Hey big sis." Suzi said while opening the refrigerator. Wierd how I did not see her coming. "Hey there. Slept well." I said as she turned back to me with milk. She had bags under eyes.

"Yea I slept okay. What about you?" She looked down, grabbing a grey bowl and some cereal.

"I slept okay too. Eric kept you up?" I smirked at her as she cocked an eyebrow.

"Well we spoke for a few hours after you ran upstairs." She said, rolling her eyes. "Wanna hang out after classes?" She said. I guess it's been long since we hung out because I am the one who asks her. She misses mee!!

"Okay. Uhm... place."

"Rouve's Maffins?" She said closing one eye as if she's.... Ion know how to say it.

"Yea okay. It's been a while."

We carried on eating when we were done, we cleaned up the kitchen, went to the car.

"I'm sitting in the passenger seat, we have a lot to talk about." She said, looking at me from the corner of her eye.

"Oh boy." I said starting the car and warming it up. She always wanted to know everything but a certain I cannot tell her, I do not tell her.. which is hardly anything hahaha.

"So you almost kissed that guy yesterday... have you guys kissed yet." She asked turning her whole slim body, to face me, while her eyes widened.

"Well yea I almost kissed the guy. I mean I'm glad you opened the door and shouted at that coz, Ion think I wanted my first kiss to be a quick awkward kiss, right infront of my house." I said so quick so fast as I looked at the reverse camera while exiting the gate.

"So you telling me that... you have NEVER KISSED!!.... ANYBODY?! She laughed. Ugh... it's not like she has, I rolled my eyes... oe has she?

"And you have?" I asked raising elbow and looked at her and back at the road.

"Well, I am still young you know? So... I don't have to be kissing and it's no shame that I haven't. But you!" She laughed again but softer.

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes. "You doing really good." I said as we drove in the school parking lot.

"I know." She smiled, raising her eyebrows up and down repeatedly. I rolled my eyes again and exited. I swear my eyes are going to come of from constantly rolling them.

We said our bye's and went our separate ways. I walked to my first period, which was Math and pulled a chair infront. After a few minutes, Damien walked in with the teacher behind him and sat next to me as the class settled down.

"Hey." He said.

I nodded at him with a smile and took out my books.

"Had a great time yesterday?" He said.

"Yea I did." I said too.

"But you didn't even drink."

"I do not drink bruuh. Especially on school nights." I laughed softly.

"Okay?" He laughed back. And we paid attention.

"Okay class let's get started." The Math teacher said. He introduced us a new topic and taught us a few formulas based on the topic.

"To test your knowledge on what we just did, since all of you kept on nodding, I am going to give ya'll thinls paper. It's informal and I want it done before tge end of the period." He said before he landed the papers on my desk and gave a signal for me to hand out the papers.  I did just thatand handed out tge papers before sitting down. The paper looked quite easy because the formulas were still fresh in my mind.

"Hey, help me out." An annoyed Damien said next to me.

"No. Do it yourself." I said back, irritatedthat he's so lazy. He rolled his eyes and turned back to his paper.

After 10 minutes, the class was done and Mr. Robert, the math teacher collected the papers. He then marked them and the bell rang.

"Bethany Walker and Damien Brown, please stay behind." He said. I began to shrug, wondering what does he want. Cora exited the class and waited for me to come out.

"Bethany, you're the highest in the class and Damien you're the lowest. That's such a disappointment Damien. What happend?" He said as he was looking at him.

"Sir, since you are talking to Damien, what am I doing here?" I asked looking at him.

"You are going to help Damien to improve his grades." He said. This cannot be happening. I don't actually enjoy Damien's compang since all he does is flirt, fuck and leave. I knew that from Cora, yet she still hangs out with them.

"Why me sir?" I asked freaking out.

"Calm down ms. Walker. You're the only kind high achiever in this class. So I need you." I could feel Damiem's smile growning. I turned to him and back at Mr. Robert before nodding.

"Thank you. You are now excused." He said.

"What was that about?" Cora asked.

"Mr. Robert wants me to 'help Damien improve his grades' " I said putting air quotes around help damien improve his grades.

"What wrong with that?" She asked.

"Damien is a pervet and he's been on me." I said stopping her.

"Ow." She said popping her eyes. Yeah, Damien is that much of a player. Right after I turned him down, he went for Cora and they dated and fucked and they.. I don't know what going on now.

We headed towards the next class.
