It was the end of the week and Scarl woke up the in morning to a message from jack.
I know your asleep but, idk, I messed up scarl I really did. I really like you and I have no clue why I cheated. I've fucked up, I don't even like the girl I was with, she's nothing compared to you scarl. I've been kicked out of city for 2 weeks, I'm missing the FA cup youth final because of it. I'm sorry scarl I really am. I'm so proud of you for making the senior squad and I hope your enjoying it, I'll we you when your home xxx
Scarl sat in bed and re-red the message a few times she got up and went to the bathroom so she didn't wake g up.
She went into her bathroom and stared in the mirror, it was game day but she felt hopeless. She stood there and stared at herself in the mirror and started crying. She didn't even know why but she was so emotional. She felt a bit sick but drank some water and felt better. She went back into the room and changed into some city training shorts and an oversized hoodie, she braided her hair into two french braids and washed her face.
"Morning" g moaned as she stretched and got up and dressed, scarl didn't talk but but went downstairs to breakfast. Everyone chatted and scarl just stayed quiet, everyone was also in rangeland kit which scarl was not in.
"Hey come with me for a min kid" Lucy whispered and she nodded as they both went for a walk.
"Why ain't you in England kit? How you feeling about the game? Why you so quiet?" Lucy started asking and scarl just shrugged and didn't say anything
"Look kid, stop walking for a sec. I know your debut is scary but you need to chill. You only make your debut once" Lucy explained and scarl nodded
"Why ain't you wearing the England stuff?"
"This is my older brothers hoodie and it made me feel safe"
"Ah fairs okay, right you need to eat somthing" Lucy smiled and scarl nodded and they went and sat down at the table.
A few hours later they were on the bus to the game, England v Scotland. They were playing against some teammates but they were the fan's favourite, playing at Wembley aswell!
"First time" scarl said and Leah just smiled
"You'll make everyone proud" Leah whispered and scarl nodded, they got changed into their match kit and started warming up, the crowd started to fill and scarl searched for her family which she found. Her parents and brother were watching and someone else but she couldn't figure out who it was, it didn't bother her though as she got on with warm ups.
The game started and scarl was on the bench. At half time they were 1-0 up and Phil decided to put scarl on for the second half.
"Right I want you to just make chances, take the opportunities. And scarl promise me, just have fun" Phil said and scarl nodded as she got subbed on. She was playing right wing, she was a bit lost in the first 5 mins but she looked at Lucy who told her to jsut breathe. The crowd was so noisy but as soon as she got focused it was like the stadium was silent. She dribbled down the wing and put in a pass to g who passed it back to scarl as she ran past the defender, she dribbled past another defender as she hit it with her right foot and it swung into the top corner of the goal. She stood there in shock as the crowd suddenly went wild and she felt the whole team jump on her. She had a massive smile on her face as she heard the commentator say "goal by our debutant Scarlett smith" and scarl suddenly it felt like reality
They finished the game 2-0 and everyone congratulated her. Her family came down and she soon realised who the unfamiliar face was from a distance. Jack.
"Scarlllll" Olly shouted and gave his sister the biggest hug before her parents started saying how proud they were of her but the only think scarl could focus on was the boy standing behind her family looking guilty. Olly realised this and took the parents to go get some food and to speak to the other girls and give them some space.
"Hey" scarl whispered
"Hi" jack replied " well played"
"Thanks" they both stood there in silence before jack started to speak
"I'm sorry, I really am I'm a dickhead" jack said and scarl agreed
"Look I just scored on my debut, I don't wanna have drama and arguments to finish off the night with. Look for back to Manchester and I'll speak to you when we are home alri?" Scarl asked and jack nodded and went to give her a hug, scarl was gonna pull away but she wanted a hug from jack so she leant in
"I'm so proud of you scarl" jack whispered as he pulled away and smiled before walking off and meeting the rest of scarls family which he had gotten quite close to.
"Ayyy superstar" g shouted and put her arm round scarls shoulder and asked about jack and scarl explained how nothing really happened.
"I feel ill" scarl whispered and g took her to the toilets in the changing room quickly where she threw up.
"Excitement from tonight is it?" Lucy laughed as she ran past celebrating and scarl shrugged and looked at g. Georgia knew exactly what it was but didn't wanna mention it and stress scarl out so was gonna wait until she got back to the hotel.
"I think I am" Scarl said and g nodded. Scarl chucked on her hoodie over her match shorts which she hadn't changed out of and went to find jack. As she walked near him he saw him drinking and laughing with her family. She went over and pulled jack to one side as her family carried on
"What?" Jack asked smiling and soon stopped as scarls face didn't look cheerful
"I'm pregnant jack" scarl whispered and jack jsut stood there and stared at her in shock .
