It had been 2 weeks since the tournament had kicked off. England were doing well, they had through and were heading into the semi finals against Spain. The nation holding the World Cup was always the hardest to play against as they had the most fans!
It was 3 pm as the girls arrived at the stadium.
"This is mad" Scarl whispered as she looked around in shock. The stadium was massive, even though she had played in some of the heat stadiums around, nothing would ever beat this one ... she was about to make her World Cup debut.
As scarl was only 18 they played a more experienced squad in the first rounds of the World Cup, scarl also was suffering with a bit of home sickness and nerves so they settled her in and only played her for the last 20 of games. Today was going to be her World Cup full debut as she was in the starting 11.
"You exited?" G whispered and scarl nodded. They all changed and headed out to the pitch where they began to warm up, the stadium was slowly filling up with fans. Spanish shirts blanketed the stands as sca could see a small group to the right of one of the goals where a group of fans in England shirts sat!

The whistle blew, scarl was playing on the right wing. It was her preferred position and she was comfortable there. She knew the game plan, they needed an early goal .

"Girls, switch on!!" Steph shouted and they all nodded. The crowds were going wild as Spain were winning. Chants were being made and the girls found it hard to concentrate

Everyone bombarded Ellen and hugged her as they picked the ball back up and went again. The half time whistle blew and they went in. Phil pulled scarl to one side
"You good? You don't seem yourself out there?"
"Ye I'm alri, just getting to grips with it all" Scarl replied
"Okay, keep working hard I need more chances being made from the wing" Phil said and scarl took a deep breath and nodded as she headed back out. Spain had got another goal from a mistake from the defense. England were loosing.

It got announced that there was 3 mins of added time. Scarl looked up at the stands and saw jack with massive grin on his face and Tyler in his arms cheering her on. A smile appeared on her face as she got the ball from g in midfield and started travelling with it, she megged two players as she cut inside and whacked it top corner, the whole world was in slow motion as she watched the keeper not save it. It hit the back of the net and scarl ran over to g and jumped in her arms as the England stand went wild.
"You did it kid, we are going to a World Cup final" steph whispered and scarl just couldn't help but smile. The final whistle blew as all the girls fell to the floor in tears, they were exhausted but so happy!! The Spain fans starting chanting some stuff about England which Steph told the girls to ignore. They warmed down on the pitch before going up to the stands to see family. Scarl was the first one up there and ran into jacks arms as he held her tight and kissed her head
"I'm so proud of you, you don't understand" jack whispered and scarl looked at him and smiled. Tyler jumped onto scarl and kissed her and climbed onto her shirt as she picked him up and held him
"You scored mummy" Tyler said and jack and scarl nodded and smiled. They chatted for a bit before scarl said goodbye and went and got changed. It was boiling so she just put some of jacks football shorts on from Chelsea and rolled the waistband up and a Calvin Klein bralette and had a zip jacket over the top which she had off one shoulder. She tied her head in a messy bun and splashed her face with water before putting on some Nike socks and her sliders and heading to the bus with her bag.
"Chelsea supporter now are we" Leah joked and scarl just smiled
"Jack would like it if I was!" Scarl replied and they got on the bus and travelled back to the hotel. Steph came on looking annoyed and some of the girls asked why but all she said was to not look at social media.
None of the girls listened and went on straight away to see hate thrown towards them on all platforms from Spain fans.
The 18 year old girl who scored the last goal for England is a slut for having a kid at 16

All the girls just read the comments before Steph told them again to turn it off.
"How long till we are back?" Scarl whispered and Steph looked at her and could see the pain in her eyes "about 35 minutes" Steph said softy and scarl took a deep breath as if she was about to burst into tears and laid down at the back of the bus and tried to get to sleep.
"Have you seen the comments about her?" G whispered to Leah and she nodded
"Scarl" Leah whispered and scarlett turned around and sat up as g and Leah went to the back of the bus.
"Don't believe them, your goal was incredible. And they are just annoyed that they didn't win and your an easy target because your the only one who's brave enough to have a child at the age you did, it doesn't make you a slut. It's only because they are jealous of how far you've come that's why they are targeting you" g said and scarl nodded
"Can I go back to sleep now?" She whispered and Leah nodded. They both knew that whatever they say to scarl she wouldn't listen. They let her go back to sleep as g messaged jack to tell him to check socials and he careful with scarl tonight. She offered to have Tyler for the night which Jack agreed to.
At the back of the bus scarl couldn't help but let a few tears fall down her face. She tried to stay as quiet as possible as the more she tried to suppress the tears, more came out.
