Ty wasn't sure what to do. He exhaled. He was thirsty. For blood, that is. He looked up at the mirror in front of the sink, not expecting a reflection.

"What exactly was I expecting there to be? Me? Heh." Ty mumbled to himself. There was no reflection of Ty, only a undisturbed picture of the bathroom. "I'm a friggin vampire, what exactly do I expect to see?"

His porcelain fingers touched the mirror, saddness ebbing off of his figure. He yearned to be a human. He wouldn't give anything to be a human, per se, but damn close to anything.

A soft knocking came from the wooden door to his room. "Ty? You up?"

Sky.

"Yeah, one sec!" Ty called, exiting the bathroom and grabbing his headphones, quickly slipping them on. He opened the door to see a cheerful Sky in the hallway. "'Sup?"

"Me, I'm up."

"That was horrible."

"Shut up, it was amazing and you know it."

Ty rolled his eyes. "Sure."

Sky, in turn, laughed. "Guess what day it is!"

Ty groaned. New recruits. He thought. He wasn't sure how he would keep himself from biting one of the newbies. He didn't want to kill one of them on accident and ruin the Sky Army's and the Dead Army's good names. People would see him as a monster. As they should. He thought bitterly.

"Oh come on! Don't be such a party pooper, Ty!" Sky said.

"I do what I want." Ty said, poker faced.

"That's my line!"

------

Ty had gotten through the day successfully, ah, without biting someone that is. Besides that, he was dead on his feet.

"Dood, you 'kay?" Ian had asked the vampire.

"Yeah, just tired." He had replied. And hungry. He added mentally.

He would go hunting later. He wasn't a fan of eating people. Nor was he a fan of taking innocent lives, but that's how he had to live, he had to live his whole life on that basis.

He walked into town, what was it called again? Nie? Nyx? It was on the tip of his tounge. Nox? Yes, the town was called Nox, in honor of the beautiful full moons -or moons in general- it gave.

The crisp night air, the wind blowing, one could really appreciate the town at night, rather than day. Especially because noon would bear the welling heat of the sun.

Ty's train of thought was cut off when the scent of cinnamon came to his nose. Against his better judgement, he decided to find out what the source of the delicious smell was coming from.

As he made his way towards the source people smiled and waved at the vampire, in response he dipped his head respectfully to the passer-bys, none of them carrying the smell of cinnamon.

He turned a corner sharply and then found himself being pinned against a wall in an alley.

Cinnamon flooded his senses, this is where the source of the mouth-watering scent was. Someone who was attacking him in an alley. He originally planned to devour the source, but oh, the irony.

"Fuck." He cursed.

"Are you Tyler Ellis?" The person asked, it was high pitched, a woman.

"Just Ty." He replied.

"Hm. Then my sincere apologies, Ty." She said. "I know you wish to know my name, call me... Selene." She stepped back, Ty dropping slightly.

"You seem familiar, have we met before?"

"...Possibly. Please understand I was expecting someone... else." She said. "I shall take my leave. Goodbye, Ty." Selene ran into the shadows with superhuman speeds, not quite human, nor vampire, somewhere in between.

Still, even after she had left, the sense of familiarity lingered. Ty probably knew the girl, but didn't know her real name. As he wandered the streets, looking for someone to sink his teeth into, he tried to thumb down Selene's real name it was there, on the tip of his tounge, yet the name was avoided him. Whenever he tried to say the alluding name the only things that came out of his mouth was the strange name: Dallis. Dallis.

That name gave him serenity, for whatever reason. To him it just sounded like the capital of Texas and all of the immature kids who made jokes about ebola.

Dallis. Was that her surname or her first name, Ty didn't know. He'd never heard of a "Dallis" anywhere. That was saying something, seeing as he had memorized all of the surnames and names of the cities' and towns' residents.

He shook his head, thinking nothing of the strange name, and went back to looking for something to eat.

An elderly man was walking around, asking people for change. He wouldn't be missed, Ty thought, wincing at the dark thought. The man looked crestfallen as he walked into a small alleyway, Ty taking light, quick steps, was following him.

The old man turned, Ty almost tripped over his footing from the sharp turn. The old man started to lay down on a cardboard box. I could just release him from this hell he's living. He would be grateful, wouldn't he? Ty thought sympathetically.

Without a second thought, Ty lowered himself to the now-sleeping man and bit down on his neck. The man didn't make any noise, nor did he squirm.

His breathing stopped shortly after, Ty had killed him. He released the grip of his fangs and the man's head thudded to the ground. He turned heel and ran down the way he came.

A girl stepped out of the shadows giggling, her blazing orange hair bobbed with each laugh. She grasped her stomach as she went into a laughing fit. "My, my, Deadlox," --laugh-- "a vampire!" --another laugh-- "What a magnifcent plot twist!"

Her laughing slowly subsided. "The show has only just started for me!" She twirled, the burnt orange and yellow dress seemed to imitate fire perfectly, the red heels seemed to do nothing to add to the fake fire.

She set down a longer, narrower path that Ty had missed. Her frame only just fit down the path. "Buh-bye, dead dude!" Laughter echoed from where she once was standing, the orange haired girl was no longer in sight, she had dissapeared.

Hello, sirs and madams! Did you like the first chapter of this remake? I hope you did! I know I changed it up a lot! I'm sorry if you liked where I was going originally, don't worry, I'm still pitching this ball the same way! Now, me and my friends over at DemigodWattys_ANNUAL would love for any PJO and HoO fans to come down and enter! That's a completely unrelated note, but hey, who cares? More plot development will come very quickly, so if you hear names, you pay attention to those names, they're important! That's really all I have to say so far.
