Sirius' POV:
Today was the day of my trial, I don't know why the want a trial now I've been here for 10 years but I'm not complaining. 3 guards opened my cell and handcuffed me, they then led me to the room where my trial was being held, when I sat in the chair I looked at me cuffed hands the whole time. My appearance had changed so much these past 10 years I was incredibly thin, my hair was dirty and all over the place and my eyes were dull and lifeless.
"Today we are here for the Trial of Sirius Orion Black, before we start does anyone have anything to say? No alright, Black was charged for the betrayal of Lily and James Potter and the murder of peter pettigrew, if mr.black is deemed innocent he will be dropped of his charges if he is deemed guilty he will fulfill his punishment, now does anyone have to say anything?" The judge said
I was still looking at my hands while he said this, but then I heard someone stand
"Yes I would like to ask if you could use veritaserum to check if he is indeed telling the truth"
The person talking sounded familiar, too familiar I finally looked up from my hands and I saw James, lily, dorcas, remus and Marlene sitting there. Alive. I was frozen what the hell?! I thought I then thought I had finally lost it but the judge was talking to them then a guard came over and poured veritaserum on my tounge
"State your full name please"
"Sirius Orion Black"
"What happened the night of october 31?"
"I was sitting on my couch when something didn't feel right so I went to see lily and james, when I got there they were both dead I knew that peter had betrayed them so I hunt him down. When I found him he started shouting about how I betrayed them, he then cut off his finger blasted up the street and got away leaving me there." I explained
They have me the antidote once I finished explaining
"All in favor of Sirius Black being sent back to azkaban to fulfill his punishment?" Only a few hands were in the air
"All in favor of Sirius Black being dropped of all charger made against him?" The majority of the people there raised their hands
"Sirius Orion Black you are here by dropped of all charges." Pthe judge shouted
The handcuffs unlocking and I got up and walked over to where they all stood
"I-what-" I said
"We dont know but were so how back again" James said
I gave them all a big hug and that day I was the happiest I have been in 10 years
