"You're selfish, Deku. I never want to see you ever again."
"Wait! Kacchan, please wait! Don't go!" Izuku tried to catch up to Katsuki who did not even look back. Izuku's tears poured down his face. Katsuki's retreating figure breaks his heart apart.
He struggled to run, shout and reached out his hands but it was no use. Katsuki vanished into thin air.
"Kacchan!"
Huffing, Izuku awakened from his sleep. Beads of sweat form on his forehead and his heart is beating crazily. That dream was so vivid that he could still even feel the excruciating pain lurking inside of him caused by that nightmare.
Izuku sobbed. His tears were falling non-stop. He rubbed his eyes then breathes slowly to calm himself down. He hadn't had that dream for a very long time. That was ages ago but still, it hurts him like the way it felt before.
'Damn, it.'
Izuku drank from the glass of water on his side table then took his phone placed on it. He heaved a deep sigh after he read the message Kaminari sent him earlier.
'Lindsey Hotel. 8 PM. Don't be late!'
He has run out of excuses that he can't even refuse to come. Izuku's afraid that they will notice his strange attitude towards their gatherings. He's been avoiding coming as if it was the plague but now, he can't just make alibis anymore.
The man is planning to make his appearance and after half an hour, he'll sneak to get out of there. Easy-peasy.
"Yo, guys! I'm so freakin' happy that we gathered here all together! I could cry in happiness, you know?" Kaminari Denki, a pro hero, exclaimed dramatically. The booming sound of the speakers can't even muffle the loudness of his mouth. Nevertheless, despite his childish attitude, he is a capable and reliable hero that everyone can depend on. Plus, he looked so handsome in his casual clothes.
The blinding lights made Izuku dizzy though he hasn't had taken a gulp from his glass of whiskey. Izuku is trying to be as quiet as he can be to avoid catching anyone's attention. He doesn't have the energy for that.
"Damn right, man!" Kirishma Eijiro seconded. The two are the rowdiest in the group.
"We never got together ever since we all became pros. I miss our high school days," Mina Ashido said. She looked so sexy as ever.
"Gosh, that takes me back," Uraraka Ochaco said, "I feel like high school was just yesterday," she sighed. Her arm is linked to the man's arm beside her. She's got herself a boyfriend now.
Izuku stayed silent. He did not even react. Todoroki which is sitting beside him on the U-shaped couch gently nudged him, "Are you okay, Midoriya?" he whispered in his ear.
The green-haired man forced a smile. "Yeah, just a bit tired from work."
"Don't be too hard on yourself," said Todoroki. Izuku just replied with a small smile.
"Guess it was nostalgic," Iida laughed heartily. His weird gestures never left him.
The group's chatters filled Izuku's mind. He did not join the conversation but he's getting some fun listening to their experiences as a hero. It makes him feel a bit...happy.
"By the way, if we're talking about dating," Kirishma shifted his gaze to the man who's sitting on the farther side on the couch, "I can tell which one whom I didn't expect to date got into a relationship! Dude, I'm astonished." Now that the topic strayed to dating, the group roared in excitement.
Izuku gritted his teeth. His eyes were peering at his lap, he could practically feel 'that' man's gaze poking him. He's avoiding that gaze since he stepped into the place.
