"Deku, any irregularities?" said a man's voice on the other line.

Izuku looked at the brilliant lights of the city from the rooftop of a tall building. He squatted at the edge then touched the communication device placed in his ear. "Everything's fine, nothing's out of the ordinary," he replied. He loves patrolling in nighttime, he enjoys seeing the lively city and the twinkling stars from above, the moon looks stunning too. It kind of calms his heart and makes him feel at ease.

"Then you can call it a day, Deku. You've been working hard this week. I haven't seen you rest at all."

Izuku removed his hood. "I'm going to go for another patrol." He stood up then patted the dirt from his clothes. He's been working for 23 hours straight without a rest but Izuku still can't feel the exhaustion that should be overtaking him by now. Maybe because of what's been bugging his mind these past few days, he's trying to bury it in the back of his mind until he forgets about it. It was no use though, those ruby eyes that showed hostility still linger in his head.

Izuku sighed when an image of 'that' man's scowling but dangerously handsome face flashed in his mind. He shook his head to erase the tightening sensation in his chest. It was no use reminiscing the past, he would rather work his butt off that thinking and hollowing himself in that ugly feeling seeping deep inside of him. Who would've thought, the Deku everyone looks up to is still hung up to that same person from high school?

"But-" He removed the device then put it in his pockets. Izuku felt the cold breeze brushing on his skin. It's soothing, enough to make him feel relaxed.

He jumped off the building and use OFA to float. Izuku looked below the busy city. He's going to take another patrol and he's going to be done for the day.

After a night of patrolling, tiredness suddenly overtook him. He felt sleepy and straight-up depleted. Izuku went home with a heavy body and an exhausted spirit.

"Gonna take a shower," he mumbled before taking off his hero suit that's full of dust. The dirt is visibly staining it and it doesn't smell that good so he's thinking of doing the laundry. He took the dirty clothes in the washing machine then proceeded inside the bathroom.

"Uhm," he moaned when the warm waters embraced him. Relaxing in a bathtub after a tiring day of work is truly something. He leaned his head back then closed his eyes. But as soon as he closed them, a familiar face appeared in his head.

Izuku ran his fingers through his hair, he felt frustrated.

'Stop it, Izuku! He's not worth thinking of! For sure as of now, he's taking all his sweet time with his girlfriend.'

The thought made his heart sank. Katsuki might be fooling around with that girl. Guess they were messing around under his sheets, on his bed, and doing god knows what.

"Damn it," he murmured.

After soaking in the bath, he got up then went straight to his bed. The bed looks so comfortable and as if seducing him to lay onto it, he's genuinely tired after all those work. Izuku slumped himself on it then tried to sleep. The bed is comfortable but he can't make himself doze off and rest his body fully.

"Not again," he groaned. He thought he's going to nod off easily for he's really tired from work and all but now that he's trying to sleep, he just can't.

Izuku took the pills in his drawer and gulped them down with the glass of water on his table. After what happened that night, on the rooftop, that conversation with Katsuki, he felt like he's now back to square one. He's having sleepless nights just like before and it's messing with his mind for a couple of days now. He's starting to be a mess and he's not liking a bit about it.
