The last thing they had to buy were their own wands. "Come on in!" Callum opened the door for them as he talked. "Sir Northwood?" Callum called the owner of the store, and he came out of a door right away. He is a middle-aged man who has gray hair and kind eyes. They saw that there were brown wooden glass cabinets, so you could see the wands in their beautiful glass cases inside the cabinet. The wands are settled on red, silky thin fabric, and the wand case itself is made of glass. "Ah, Callum and oh, new students?" Mr. Northwood's eyes sparkled, and he smiled as he saw them. He seems to really like children. "Well, sir, they are not just any new students. They were the eight kids who were given away to ordinary humans to keep them safe. They are excited to see where they belong and to meet their real family. Sir, they will need wands." Callum said.
"Let me see..." Mr. Northwood began to wander along the cabinets. He opened one and collected eight random wand cases inside. He faced them and spoke. "First and foremost, you will find out which wand is right for you if it produces sparks at the tip of the wand on your very first touch. Take this one, darling." He handed one to Hannah and waited for something to happen. It didn't make sparks at the tip. Mr. Northwood took it from her and placed it back in its case. He takes another case and gave it to her. "Here. This one is lighter than the previous one." Mr. Northwood said to Hannah.
They spent quite some time finding the right wands for them. Soon, it was time to ride the train. Their wands were each beautiful and unique. The wands they got had colors that suited the owners. Their wand colors are the same colors as their gems. Herrianne's wand was light pink, but there were other thin parts of it that were running up around it that were glass, and it was painted champagne and was quite sparkly. It had a rose quartz gem at the end of the handle. Hannah had a purple wand, and hers had silver on some parts of it. There was a pearl on the end of the handle.
The wands of the boys had simple, sleek designs, but they had their own colors and different characteristics that suited each owner of the wands. They thanked Mr. Northwood and came out of the wand shop. Callum led them to the Aero-Train Station. He opened the door for them, and they walked to the front desk. Callum tried not to laugh when he saw that they were struggling to find the right amount of money for the fare. "Let me help you guys." He took a gold bill and held it up. "This is called a Chrono, and it is our currency here. The crystal coins are the different lower denominations, which are called Crystallites. Understand?" They quickly nodded, and each of them took out one Chrono and three of the smaller Crystallite coins to buy tickets.
They went on Train 5, and there's a corridor inside. They saw the many compartments and randomly chose an empty one. Callum slid the sliding glass door aside, and they came in one by one. The eight teens were so exhausted from all the shopping that they slumped quickly on the soft seats. "Better get ready to see the view from here! It is just wonderful to look at. The clouds are just next to us when you're up there!" Callum told them enthusiastically. Once the train started flying, they stood up quickly and ran to the window with their phones, ready to take videos or photos. Callum, who is used to seeing it, just remained sitting, and he was wondering about the phones.
"What kind of technology is that? Flitzers! That looks amazing!" Callum asked them. "Oh! This is called a phone. It is a means of communications, the internet, music, games, a camera and so much more!" Herrianne said when she showed him how they use it. "Very clever device! We also have a thing like that called Wizcom! Now we are on our way to meet your families at the school. Are you ready?" asked Callum. They nodded right away.
A boy walked past their compartment, but suddenly he came back and glanced at them. "Yes? May we help you?" Callum asked him after he slid the door open. "Hi?" The boy who was taller than the boys greeted them. He was looking at them, then he smiled a little and left. "Such a weird guy, isn't he, sis?" Hannah asked Herrianne. She quickly nodded at her, but she actually kept on thinking about who the weird guy was before shaking the thoughts away. They have finally arrived at Elleridge, where their families were set to wait for them today. The flying train landed on the ground near the castle, and the students came out of the train. "Grab your bags, everyone. We're here!" Callum helped them carry some of their bags. The students stared at the school, eyes wide and jaws almost falling to the ground because of its beauty. The school, which looks like a castle, has four slim, round towers that dwarf everything below them. The towers are connected by big, thin walls made of stone.
