Caged (Taejin)

9: Promise

It was a sleepless night for Taehyung. After what Jimin told him, the first emotion he felt was a pity for Jin. He was regretting how he behaved with Jin. There was no doubt for him that he was somewhat attracted towards his husband. He can even say that he had a crush on Jin when he first saw him. If he had met Jin in other circumstances, Taehyung was sure, he had already started chasing Jin and propose him to be his boyfriend. But now, in the present, Jin already belongs to him but they didn't have that kind of relationship. Maybe he should have not blinded by his hatred towards Jin's father then maybe he was happily married to Seokjin. When he thinks about the past, if he kept the fact about Jin's father scheme aside, then he could have seen, how simple and elegant a person Seokjin is. He should have noticed it when at all times after marriage, Jin never demands anything from him. It was Jin's father who directly comes to him for business projects and clients. Jin on the other hand, never disrespect anyone in the house no matter how they treat him. He is an angel. Broken angel to be exact.

Taehyung heard a small thud making him immediately opened his eyes and looked in the direction where the sound came from. He got up immediately seeing Jin seating on the floor near the bathroom door. As he rushed towards Jin, he saw how pale the latter looked.

"hey"

Taehyung said as he half knelt beside Jin but didn't get any response from later. Which leads Taehyung to touch Seokjin's shoulder. He immediately got worried realizing how hot Jin was. He then placed his hand on Jin's forehead. He was right, Jin was having a high fever. He shook Jin, but still, Jin didn't respond. It was like Seokjin was in a daze and couldn't even hear him. Then out of nowhere, jin started to stand up, only resulting in him falling and Tahyung instinctively caught him before he could hit the cold floor. Taehyung panicked as Jin started to close his eyes. IT was his fault, after all, he punished Jin to spend the night all wet in cold weather. Only because he got jealous seeing Jin hugging someone. He should have understood his emotions that time instead of blaming Jin.

"Hey, hey, look at me," Taehyung said patting Jin's cheek.

"Damn. Open your eyes." Taehyung said as Jin closed his eyes.

He hurriedly placed Jin on his bed making sure the blanket covering him properly. He was about to get out to call Jimin, though he is a psychiatrist, at last, he is a doctor, he just knew some of these things. He stopped when he saw a few bottles and pills on the cabinet beside the couch where Jin slept. He thought maybe Seokjin was weak and sleepy because of the strong effect of the medicine. So he decided to wait for 10 minutes. It's past midnight. If it's not serious, he should not disturb Jimin and his husband.

After what felt like 5 or 6 minutes, Taehyung saw Jin's eyes were opening. He immediately rushed towards him.

"Seokjin. You okay?" Taehyung asked worriedly. Taehyung was about to help Jin to sit down comfortably but then suddenly Seokjin retreats with the speed of light.

Seokjin opened his eyes. He was tired. But he felt different. He frantically looked around, only to find Taehyung so close to him. Then he registered, he is in Taehyung's bed. How does he come here? The moment he saw Taehyung's hand coming towards him he can't help but retreat. Taehyung is going to punish him. Just like his father. He was so scared that he retreats himself while falling on the bed with a thud. The wave of pain jolt through his body but he couldn't concentrate on it when Taehyung was coming towards him. Taehyung will punish him for breaking the rule.

Meanwhile, Taehyung was shocked is an understatement. The hell, he never saw someone behaved like that. Was Jin this scared of him? His eyes widened when he saw Seokjin falling from the bed with a big thud. He hurriedly approached him and was helping Seokjin to stand when Seokjin yelled with the top of his lung making Taehyung release his hold.
