Clay's POV

I walked back to the field and felt people stare at me. I just started running again, ignoring their whispering voices. I was constantly thinking about George and our kiss just then. I was scared people knew, but I still loved it a lot.

I kept running around, participating in the game we were playing. At one point I saw one of my teammates coming closer to me and he bumped into me on purpose. I fell down on the ground and crawled up. 'What the hell?'

Brian rolled his eyes at me. 'Faggot.'

I felt my face heat up and looked at my hands. 'I'm not gay.'

'Sure,' Brian said as he pushed me back.

Since the game was still going in the background, the trainer didn't notice Brian talking to me and pushing me. I pushed him away and started running to my position again, but Brian wasn't done yet.

'I don't want you in our changing room anymore. There's a difference between being gay and being grossly gay like you.'

'How am I grossly gay?'

'Because you made out with that guy.'

'Let me decided myself what I do.'

'So you admit?'

'If that makes you sleep better at night, why did you even follow me? Are you sure you're not gay?'

'I followed you so I can expose you.'

'Go ahead, what have you done?'

'I filmed you and made pictures of you two making out in there. I'm not sitting on that spot again.'

'What if you just won't come back in that changing room anymore? I sat there, I made out with a boy there. What if those bacterias pass over to you and you turn gay too?'

Brian looked at me in disgust. 'I'm going to show everyone those pictures and videos.'

'Okay.'

'And also your parents.'

'If you do that, I will literally beat you up so badly that you won't be able to participate in any football matches for the next few months.'

'So your parents don't know you can't stay off boys with those gross fingers of yours.'

'I can stay off boys.'

'That's why you made out with one?'

'Yeah, he's pretty hot.'

Brian gagged to show me how gross he found it and I rolled my eyes at him.

'I'm going to tell your parents,' Brian laughed and he started walking away.

'I will beat the shit out of you.'

'You'll get kicked out of the football team.'

'Do you think I care, dumbass? I'd be happy, I can make out with George more.'

'Shut the heck up, you're so gross,' Brian yelled and he pushed me down on the ground.

The trainer finally noticed us arguing and ran to us, helping me stand up. Brian looked at me furiously and he walked off before the trainer could talk to him.

'Are you okay, Clay?'

I nodded slowly. 'I'm fine.'

'Why did you have an argument?'

'Nothing important, I don't want to talk about it. It's only going to cause problems.'

'I don't want problems in my team so you better solve them. What's going on?'

I rolled my eyes at him. 'I said that I didn't want to talk about it.'

'Football is a team sport, if there are problems in the team, it needs to be fixed. We will never win any matches when there are fights between us.'

'This is something that will never be solved unless one of us leaves the team.'

'What's the problem?'

'Fine, I told you I didn't want to say it, but okay. I like boys and I kissed one in the break. He saw and he's homophobic.'

'We don't have time for boys.'

I rolled my eyes. 'Football stars also have wives and such so I can also like a boy.'

'Not if it causes problems.'

'That's bullshit, I have nothing to do with Brian. He just has to respect me.'

'You have to respect us too. If we don't want you kissing boys here, you have to respect that.'

'Shut the hell up,' I yelled and started walking away. 'You're just homophobic as well.'

'Don't speak to me like that.'

'Then don't disrespect me. I can do whatever I want with a boy.'

The trainer sighed. 'You're unmotivated.'

I walked away and started participating in the game again. For hours, I managed to focus on the game. Although after a little while, I started thinking about George again. I felt a smile filling my face as I blushed and stopped running as fast as I did before. I could feel his lips on mine again and just as I wanted to run again, I heard the trainer scream at me.

'CLAY, RUN NOW. WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT BOYS.'

I looked at him and felt myself getting angry. He just outed me in front of my whole team and I was sick of it. I saw the ball coming closer to me and I kicked it away as far as possible.

'I'm sick of it,' I screamed as I ran to the changing room.

I sat down and lifted my knees, hiding my face behind them. I sat like this for minutes and then the changing room's door opened. My trainer came in and he grabbed my arm tightly. 'Go back to training now, you selfish idiot. The team is waiting for you.'

'You're the selfish idiot here, you didn't have to out me in front of my whole team. I'm not coming back, just train with ten or get a fill for me. I'm sick of today.'

'You have to be motivated or you will get kicked out of the team.'

'I was motivated until you started being homophobic.'

'I'm not homophobic, I just don't want you to focus on boys when an important match is coming up.'

'If he would have been a girl, it would have been fine.'

'No, I would have said the same thing. After this important match, you can see him a little bit more. For now you just have to focus.'

I sighed and shrugged, standing up to train again.
