Chapter 10: Clubbing

"Okay, you were going to tell us about some dangerous plan thing," Ron said.

"Okay. Well, I'm sort of involved with all kinds of illegal crap," Harry said. "I have abilities that allow me to...well, get to well guarded and warded security type places unnoticed and take objects to those who pay me to locate them."

"You're a thief?" Hermione asked. Draco laughed.

"That's exactly what I said," Draco said.

"So what kind of crap do you steal?" Ron asked. "Has to be something good."

"I have clients who wish me to infiltrate and penetrate places of high security for objects that are of extremely rare value," Harry stated businesslike. "And I'm damn good. I've never been caught. And...I make great income at it."

"You don't need income, Harry," Hermione said. "You do this shit for kicks and because you get bored. Don't tell me you need the money, that's bullshit."

"You're right," Draco said. "He just does it because he can. Personal thrill."

"Bastard," Ron punched Harry's arm lightly.

"I just need something to do," Harry said. "I have no challenges anymore. Anyway, I do plan and calculate my moves. Right now I'm working on acquiring a set of parchments for a client." Harry went on to explain about the parchments were, who wanted them, their content, the location of the parchments and the security that he'd have to penetrate to get them."

"Impossible," Ron shook his head. "There is no way to penetrate that many wards."

"Ron, please," Harry said. "You insult me. I'm better than that. I can slip through any ward with fragmenting. I always use a few spells of my own design to disguise my magical signature so no one can identify me. I use gloves that have been enhanced to leave no trail and I even use a face mask with charms to dispel my own breath if I need to."

"Why do you do that?" Draco asked.

"Because I have so much magic, that even my breath contains my signature," Harry said. "I'm almost a level forty, Draco. I'm pure magic covered in skin."

"So do you have schematics of the Helton building where the parchments are so that we can see the wards and security on it?" Hermione asked. Harry nodded.

"Absolutely," Harry said. "Not easy to get either." Harry stood and crossed the room. Harry slid his finger down the wall and a pop sounded. Harry reached into the wall and pulled out a large roll of scrolls. "Everyone go sit on the bed a moment." The three did as asked and Harry with a flick of his finger changed all the crates to chairs and the larger center wooden crate to a table. Harry put the large scrolls on the table and everyone gathered round to look at the building blueprints.

"Couldn't you come up with anything a little more...comfy?" Draco asked of the chairs.

"Later," Harry said with a grin. "Then I'll transfigure them to your exquisite and perfectly tasteful specifications, my haughty little pet." Harry teased.

"You need to work on that little compliment thing you have," Draco said. "I deserve much better than that." Harry gave a short laugh and pointed to the map.
