She sunk deep into the crimson liquid; her pores filling and the fluid was seeping up to her neck.

She thrashed around, trying to swim out of the trap, or just trying to stay afloat. It was like red quicksand, except it had a gel type texture, and looked like dyed water. She was only running trough the forest, away from the person she had perceived as death, but then she had fallen in. Her dress flew upwards, then quickly got pushed down from the weight of the watery matter she was in. As her hands scrambled upwards, trying to grasp a branch or vine that hung far above her head, she found herself sinking in more. Her arms, neck, and now knotted hair gave the appearance of being soaked in blood. She gasped for air, the scarlet gel like fluid now up to the lower portion of her lip. She tried to pull herself upward, but the only thing to hold onto was the very solution that encased her. Her mouth was filling with the substance, then it slushed around her lungs, drowning her in the process. A minute passed, she had stopped all movement, and the last part of her head was dragged below the surface, erasing all evidence of her existence.
