There are stories my father tells me, stories from many years ago. Many years before you were born I can be sure. These are stories about trust, a bond between two, between two foes who became friends, a trust so strong they share a heart. These stories are about the creature we call, dragons. Yes I said dragons, the creature us roman Knights fight, we fight for our lives. These dragons are killers, well, that's what everyone believes but not me, I believe these stories my father tells me. Dragons are not killers, once you earn the trust of a dragon you feel each others pain and emotions.

I should probably introduce myself, my name is Caesar. I'm a 15 year old roman knight, well I'm not fully a knight yet, I'm training to become a knight, but I don't exactly think I'm going to become one anytime soon considering I don't show up to training a lot of the time. I do have a reason for that, the reason is dragons, you may be wondering 'Dragons? What does he mean?' Well I mean my fathers stories about dragons, he has these stories written on very old paper and it looks like it's all written in a runny ink. He doesn't know that I skip training but I'm glad he doesn't know because if he found out anytime soon I would be dead, literally. My father usually tells me all the stories but I've read most of them. Of course when he tells me I act as if I haven't heard it before, we wouldn't want him knowing about my skipped training.

It's early in the morning maybe around there or four, I've woken up to a loud crashing noise and screaming, I grab my lantern which provides me with a bit of light and I walk outside, my eyes widen and my jaw drops at what I saw, It was a fire dragon, his scales we're golden and his eyes were a bright yellow. Everyone was screaming, running and crying, you probably would to if there was a giant dragon burning buildings. "Caesar! Get inside!" My father yells at me standing in the door way. I don't look at him, I keep my eyes on the creature. "Caesar! Get inside young man! You could get hurt or even worse killed!" I finally decide to listen to my father and turn my head towards him and look at him. "Fine.." I murmur, as I'm about to turn the rest of my body around I see my fathers face turn from a worried expression to a face filled with fear and pain, he backed up and pelted inside yelling out "Get Inside!" I stood there confused staring at where he was standing just a few seconds ago. Then I felt a hot breath on my body I dropped my lantern out of shock and understood why my father pelted inside. I slowly turned my head being face to face with a fire dragon.
