Jia Zijie’s face suddenly sank, “What I want is for both parties to negotiate a contract termination, but it seems that Madam Shen wants to continue shooting?”

“Yes! I have no problem shooting,” Yu Yaoyao stroked her little face as she spoke.  “To produce a beautiful video, with no investment on my side, you have to pay me advertising fees. As you know, there are so many directors and lighting engineers wanting to work with me, so I simply cannot do your company charity and model for free…”

Yu Yaoyao then gave him a sarcastic look and added, “Again, I won’t cancel the contract.  Afterall, what would I gain by cancelling it?”

She then gave him an innocent smile. Jia Zijie looked at her with a dumbfounded expression on his face and Yu Yaoyao grinned at him.

“By the way, according to the contract, you will put my face on billboards, as well as the Internet, and TV commercials in major crowded areas of the main city,” Yu Yaoyao once again started. “I am very content and happy. I can gain more fans with this too.” She said as if rubbing salt on an open wound.

Jia Zijie seemed to be wincing at every word that came out of her lips and it was obvious he was in pain.

She touched the makeup table in front of her, “Although the facilities are a bit outdated, and the director didn’t say anything about it, I think we can remedy this situation. The shoot will just be for an hour, I can bear with it. Do you honestly think I will pass up the opportunity to earn money just because of this? With three million, I can buy several makeup tables. As a matter of fact, let’s throw in a couple hundred bucks from my paycheck now and get me a new makeup table. I am sure that can be arranged.”

Yu Yaoyao told him pointedly as she blew off the dust from her fingers. Jia Zijie in front of her had his eyes wide open, it seemed he was still in shock. Just moments ago Jia Zijie was about to turn around and depart her tent in triumph, he thought he had won the game but then she hit him in the head with these infuriating words!

He had no desire to treat her well, not even by a little bit and so he put forward all kinds of strict requirements to pressure her. He wanted her to quit on her own! But now… he didn’t know why, but he almost felt as if she were a tutor hired to teach his daughter homework.

I’m so angry, I feel that I need a physical brace to stabilize my heart! Jia Zijie can’t help but think this.

Ni Yi’s eyes brightened as he watched the exchange.

Yes, at this time, in this situation, it is the company who is more anxious to terminate the contract…therefore they shouldn’t give them what they want.

They can either withdraw and earn the 10 million in breach of contract fees from them, or continue the shoot and earn more popularity with the help of this advertisement. No matter where they placed their chances, it was a win-win scenario for them…so they shouldn’t allow themselves to be bullied out of this ad.

Of course, the boss didn’t want my sister to be scared of squandering the money, thought Ni Yi. But it’s really hard to endure watching my sister be treated so demeaningly, while I, as her agent, am standing here, helpless!

“Okay, okay, since Mrs. Shen is so worthy of our brand, go ahead and film!” Jia Zijie finally declared defeat. “At most, one year later, we will never cooperate with you again! By the way, during this period of strife, if you show the public something that would darken your reputation, we will sue you for the huge losses you’ve cost the brand!” Jia Zijie threatened and then walked away scowling.

Ni Yi breathed a sigh of relief, but soon turned nervous again. “Sister, what if they do something worse to you…”

Yu Yaoyao pursed her red lips together, as her slender fingers circled her hair.

She had no idea when she got the idea to say those words to Jia Zijie, the words just rolled out of her tongue…they at least won the battle for now and they still had time to prepare for war. Yu Yaoyao then handed Ni Yi her mobile phone which was actually on record.

“Lil’ Yiyi, help me. You must continue shooting. We must record the events of this day, use this camera to capture everything that will happen to me here. Make sure you don’t miss anything,” Yu Yaoyao instructed.

Outside the studio, Jia Zijie and director Ji Chang had already walked to a corner of the studio and were preparing to begin filming.

“Be at ease, Mr. Jia. I have a sense of discretion. I’ll be sure to be very strict with the shooting later. If she fails to meet even a single requirement for the advertisement as requested by the product manufacturers, then the contract will be deemed invalid.,” Ji Chang’s face showed a confident smile at this.

Jia Zijie raised his eyebrows, “She still has some acting skills. Haven’t you watched ‘In the Limelight’? Don’t underestimate her, she is much better than those young newcomers.”

Otherwise, they would not have liked her at the time of choosing spokespersons.

“Well, take a look at my script requirements.” Ji Chang said as he gestured at the pile of papers on the desk beside him. Ji Chang smiled, schemingly.

Jia Zijie leaned over to take a look, and only then did he relax his expression and sported a subtle smile, “Yes, Old Ji, you really don’t let us down.”

It didn’t take long before the entire crew were on their toes for Yu Yaoyao’s arrival at the set. They were waiting for her to emerge from the makeup room and make a fool out of herself!
