Chapter 28

After that night of fun...

You woke up and looked over, it was 7:30am. 'Not so early but i could care less.' You thought, then sat up on the bed.

You felt someone grab your hand, you yelped in shock but looked back and saw that it was your mistress.

"Umm... do you need anything, Alcina?" You said.

"Come back in bed, it's too early.." She said in a rather raspy tone.

"As much as i like to, i need to get going Alcina.." You said.

She let go of your hand and turned to the other side, 'Did i piss her off?..' You thought, but you shrugged it off and got off the bed.

You started to feel a sharp pain in your head and you instantly fell on your knees, once you could feel it, it was a headache.

It was hurting alright, but you tried your best to ignore it, causing the headache to hurt even more.

"A-Alcina..." You caused to say softly before you fell on the ground passing out.

A couple of days went by...

You slightly opened one eye and looked around the room, it was your mistress's room just the ordinary.

You scratched your head, you were gonna take off the sheets from your legs but someone stopped you.

"I don't think your gonna be able to work for a bit, so rest please. You have a fever y/n.." Your mistress said looking down at you.

"Oh... okay." You said confused.

Your stomach growled, meaning you haven't ate in a while.

'Should i ask her if u could make something to eat? At least for today..' You thought.

You sat up and tugged the dress of your mistress.

"Is something wrong y/n, do you need anything?" She said in a worried tone.

"Can i go make something to eat?.." You asked.

"I asked one of the maidens to make you breakfast, i'm sure you'll be fine, love. And don't worry about me, i've already had breakfast." She said patting your head.

You looked down and nodded, you grabbed your mistress's hand and started playing with her fingers.

Since there wasn't really anything to do..

Your countess was concerned on what you were doing but she found it adorable, you heard a knock on the door.

Your mistress rushed over to the door and opened it, "I have y/n's breakfast, mistress." Said a soft voice.

"Thank you." Your countess said grabbing the plate and a cup of water.

She walked towards you and handed you your breakfast and water.

You were about to eat but, "Let me feed you." Your mistress said in a rather soft tone.

You were confused but nodded, she put the fork up to your mouth you opened it and ate off the eggs from the fork.

After eating...

Now that your done eating you drank the cup of water and sighed.

"A-Alcina?.." You said looking up to her.

"Yes love?" She said looking down at you.

"Can i get a book or something? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do." You said.

"Of course." She said.

She got up from her chair and walked towards her vanity, finding an old book that looks like it has never been opened in a while.

She walked back to you and handed you the book, it was dusty but you brushed it off.

Your mistress looked at you concerned, "Y/n, would you like me to read for you?" She said softly and tilting her head while looking at you.

"Oh you don't have to really!" You said, smiling nervously.

She grabbed the book from your hand and refused to take no as an answer.

She started flipping through the pages, you looked at her concerned.

"Ah! I forgot to give you your medicine." Your mistress said in a disappointed tone.

She got up from the chair and walked to her vanity, grabbing the medicine from the counter. She walked towards you and grabbed a spoon from your plate.

She took the medicine out of the bag and poured it on the spoon, "Open your mouth please." She said.

You opened your mouth and swallowed the medicine, it had a irony taste and a bit fiber.

She already had a cup of water for you so you grabbed it and drank it, getting rid of the irony taste.

You sighed in relief, she then put back the stuff where it was and sat back down, she grabbed the book and flipped through the pages to see if any of it was interesting.

You looked at the book and you were concerned, 'I've seen that book before..' You thought.

"Alcina, could i borrow the book for a second?" You asked softly.

"Of course darling." She said handing you the book.

"Thank you!" You said.

You flipped through the pages and found a page you were familiar with.

Test subject : Failure.

You were reading through the pages until it got more concerning.

You flipped the page over, finding a picture of a man with a drawn X on his face.

'Who could that possibly be?..' You thought.

'Wait a minute... is that.. ETHAN?!' You thought once again.

You closed the book, your lady looked at you with a concerned expression.

"I think i'll rest now, i'll take a bath tomorrow.." You said.

"Alright then." She said worried, but she got up from her chair and changed into her nightgown.

Taking off her hat gloves shoes, accessories.

She blew out the candles and walked towards you, slipping into the sheets and getting closer to you.

She wrapped her arms around your waist and kissed your neck, "Goodnight y/n lets hope you get better soon." She said softly, smiling by how your asleep already.

Little did she know, you were still awake listening to the words she said warmed your heart, it was truly nice of her to say such things about you.

But your fever got worse, by how cold it was outside from the snow and wind.

You got even warmer, which is not a good thing.
