Chapter 2

"Okay new students, if you can all sit down a couple of feet apart from one another, we will get started." a professor with elbow-length frizzy golden blonde hair said. "I am Professor Annabel Hughes but you are to call me Professor Hughes. I am the Hereditary magic Professor and I also sort all the students into their houses." Professor Hughes said, looking at everybody. "Alright students, I am Professor Kira Green, the Traditional magic professor." a professor with medium-length curly black hair in a crown braid said. "I am going to pass the test out to you all like I do every year to new students." Professor Green said. When everybody had a test the room went silent as everybody started.

When everybody had finished the test a male professor with wavy dark brown hair picked up all the tests. After he finished picking up all the tests he began to speak. "Hello students, I am Professor Eric Hewitt." the man said. "I am the Hedge magic professor." Professor Hewitt explained. "Even though you will see all the professor's," Professor Hewitt started to say. "they will not be teaching you." Professor Hewitt told us. "For instance if you practice sea magic, Professor Davina West will be teaching you." Professor Hewitt explained pointing to middle aged women with black curly long hair. "You can talk with each other or read your textbooks while we figure out what house you are in." Professor Hewitt told us. I decided to look through my textbooks when Seth popped his head over my shoulder. "Starting to read already?" he asked, sitting down next to me. "Yep, may as well see what I am going to be learning!" I told him as I looked into his black eyes. "How long are you gonna look into my eye's Star?" He questioned. I looked away after he said that and got flushed with memories of my siblings. "Hey are you okay?" Seth asked which made me snap back to reality. "Huh, yea I'm fine." I replied back, looking at the ground. I then looked back up and opened my textbook. Right at that moment is when Lei decided to come over and started talking. "What are you two doing?" Lei asked, looking between me and Seth. "Starling is reading her textbooks and I'm writing a letter to a friend." Seth explained. "What are YOU doing?" I asked looking up from the book. "I am getting away from Zaleria and some other girl's." Lei explained. "What are they doing?" Seth asked, looking over at Zaleria. "They are talking about how attractive a teacher is." he stated. "Oh, you leaving is understandable." Seth replied looking back down at his letter. All three of us then went silent. I went back to reading, Seth continued writing his letter and Lei read his textbooks.

After about 2 hour's Professor West handed everybody a piece of paper. The paper told us what house we are in, where the house was and who we shared a dorm with. I ended up sharing a dorm with 2 other girls, Ravynne Autumn and Cali Dione. Another Professor with short brown hair went around giving everybody our class schedule. As he handed me my schedule I noticed a smallish name tag that said Professor Weber. Professor Hughes then told everybody to follow the Professor with their house color's. So everybody lined up with their house Professor and went to where their house is. After going up many staircases and corridors we ended up in front of a wall. "Okay students, this is the way to your house," Professor Weber started to explain. "to get in you have to tap the wall in the right order."Professor Weber explained tapping the wall in front of us. When we came in we all got amazed at all the painting's and color's. Professor Weber then told us where the girl and boys dorms were. He also told us how the guys were not allowed into the girls' dorm because there was magic stopping them. Girl's were also not allowed into the guys dorm because there is a password that only they know.

I then went up to the girl dorms. I walked into the dorm with my name on it, when I walked in I saw Ravynne Autumn and Cali Dione. Ravynne was standing 5'1 tall with olive skin. She also has blue eyes and dark straight short brown hair. Cali was standing 6'1 tall with golden-brown skin. She also has hazel eyes and mid-length curly light brown hair which is in a ponytail. I happened to noticed a burn mark on her chest that was hardly seen over her shirt. They were both standing next to bag's that said their names. Once I closed the door to the dorm they turned to me. "Hey I am Ravynne!" the blue eyed girl affirmed. "And I am Cali!" the hazel eyed girl stated holding her hand out. I took her hand and shook it. Cali's hand felt very soft yet cold. Her rings felt hard and warm against my finger's. "We were about to pick which bed we want before you came in." Cali told me. "Which one do you want?" she asked me. "Well I always feel like something could be looking at me through a window." I clairified. "So I'll take the one here between the door and window, where I trust nothing can see me." I finished saying. "I'll take the bed closest to the window then." Ravynne replied. "That leaves me with the bed by the door." Cali said. "You good with that, because we can switch." Ravynne implied. "Yea, plus nothing can harm us here, so I won't have to worry much." Cali explained. "So what magic do you practice?" Cali asked while opening a dresser draw. "I practice cosmic magic." I proclaimed taking clothes out of my bag. "I practice ceremonial magic!" Ravynne said with a smile. "What about you?" Ravynne asked putting her folded clothes in a dresser. "I practice sea magic." Cali stated putting a picture on her dresser. We all went silent and finished unpacking. Once we finished we went to the community room of the Vixenon house. Professor Hewitt came in after a while, he then took us to the dining hall where we ate food. Once everybody finished eating went back to our house's to go to sleep. I got into a pair of long sleeved pajamas with purple flowers. Cali put on a pair of short sleeved pajamas that were plain red. Ravynne wore a pair of silk pajamas. Cali then turned off the light and we all fell asleep.
