As I ran out of my house into the cold rain, I could hear my piece of shit father calling my name. I knew there was no point in coming out, no one understands. Who would even respect a gay hero? I'm a joke...
I felt a warm hand grab my shoulder. "Hey it's super cold out, you might get sick," I heard the boy who was grabbing my shoulder say.
"Well you never know," he said, holding his umbrella over my head. "So do you mind telling me why you're sitting out here all alone? Or am I being to nosy!? I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you!" he started rambling.
"It's fine, you're actually the first person in a long time to ask me what was wrong," I said, still not looking at the boy. "I actually just came out to my family as gay, my older brother and sister thought it was great but my fuck face father told me I was disgusting, and that no future hero can be like that."
"That's so mean! I don't know much about your situation but I know something that always helps when I feel sad," he said, I could hear the smile in his voice.
"Oh really?" I said, quit interested in what he was saying.
"Yep! Whenever I'm sad I just smile!"
"That makes no sense, how can you smile when you're sad?" I asked, getting kind of confused.
"Yeah it sounds crazy, but it totally works! I found that if you smile then you make others smile, and making other people smile is enough to make anyone smile!" the boy said, removing his hand from my shoulder.
I finally turned around to see a boy with messy green hair, and emerald eyes. He had a big toothy smile, spread across his freckled face. It was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. I just looked at him in shock, how could a human be so perfect?
"Why don't you try?" the greenette asked.
"Try what?" I asked, tilting my head to the side a little bit.
"Try smiling! I'm sure you have a great smile!"
"I don't really feel like it," I said, not changing my stoic expression.
"Come on, give it a try!" he said, gesturing to his mouth.
I then put my hands to my mouth and raised the corners to try and force a smile.
"Wow that's a great smile," he laughed.
The sight of his laughter actually caused the corners of my mouth to curl up on their own.
"Wow see!? You really do have a great smile!"
"You think?" I asked, wondering if it really was that great.
"I never lie, so obviously it's true!" he beamed.
"You also have a nice smile," I said bluntly, pointing at his mouth.
"Thanks! You know I kinda have to get back home now, my mom might get worried, but it was great meeting you!" the greenette said, causing me to get a little sad. "You're probably super cold, take my umbrella."
As he handed me his umbrella he started jogging to what I assume was his home. "Bye," I said, as he waved back to me. I looked at the umbrella. "All Might?" I said to myself, looking at the All Might themed umbrella. "Damnit!" I swore at myself. "I didn't get his number, or even his name." I got up from the wet curb and started walking home. I really don't want to go running back there, but it's not like I have anywhere else to go.
The Next Day At UA
As I walked into class of my first day in UA highschool, I heard a very loud and annoying boy yelling at someone. " What the fuck, how did you get in Deku!? You don't even have a quirk!" I heard him yell. What an annoying jerk.
