Chapter 7: Training Exercise

The doctor explained how my new quirks work, but not how to activate them. The swap one seems easy to use, same with magnetism, but I still don't know exactly how to activate delay.

"Um, Todoroki-Kun..." Yaoyorozu said shyly.

"Yes?" I responded.

"I was wondering if you'd like to be my partner for the training exercise..." she asked as she looked down at the ground and smiled.

Such an ugly ass smile.

"I already planned on being Izuku's partner," I responded coldly.

"Oh, that's alright..." she looked disappointed. At least she isn't smiling anymore.

I looked at Asui walk over to Midoriya. She better not be asking him to partner up! As I watched intensely I saw Midoriya wave his arms up and down frantically and start apologizing. I couldn't make out what he was saying, but hopefully he was rejecting whatever she was asking. I decided to walk over to him when the frog bitch went over to talk to Sonic.

"Hey Midoriya, what were you and Asui talking about?" I asked emotionlessly.

"She was asking to be my partner, but I told her I already planned on asking someone else," he awkwardly smiled while rubbing the back of his head.

"Who?" I asked.

"Actually I wanted to ask you Todoroki-Kun!" he smiled widely.

"Oh, well I accept your offer then," I said, smiling on the inside.

"Great!"

At The Training Facility

"Hey Todoroki-Kun," the greenette said as he fidgeted with the zipper on his hero suit.

"Yes Midoriya?"

"I told you to call me Izuku," he smiled.

"Oh right, sorry," I apologized.

"It's fine, but I was thinking maybe after the training exercise, I could show you some of the notes I wrote about your quirk, I even thought of some improvements you can make on your costume," he said as he started muttering about random things including my quirk.

"You're muttering again Midoriya."

"Oh sorry!"

"Here's the list of teams and who you'll be up against," our tired teacher said.

"Look Midoriya, we'll be up against Kaminari and Sero," I said walking away from the posted piece of paper.

"Izuku!" he pouted.

"Sorry, Izuku."

"Kaminari has a really powerful quirk, but it works best with a plan in mind since he can only use it at full power once, and Sero-Kun doesn't seem like a big planner, but they could also use Sero's quirk to set a trap, but I think your fire might be strong enough to burn through the tape," he started to ramble.

"Izuku, sorry but I don't use my left half," I said looking away.

"Huh why?" he asked in confusion.

Before I got the chance to explain, the beeper went off, letting us know the first match had started. Ashido and Kirishima vs. Jiro and Yaoyorozu.

After The First Match

"Kyoko Jiro and Momo Yaoyorozu win!" the very loud pro hero Present Mic screamed. "The next match is Fumikage Tokoyami and Mezou Shoji vs. Tenya Iida and Tsuyu Asui!"

After The Second Match

"This victory goes to Tenya Iida and Tsuyu Asui!" the ascentric blond boomed.
