"Wait, what?" (Y/N) mumbled dubiously.

"To show you our proof, we need a large, preferably covered, secluded area," Hange instructed, adjusting their glasses.

The woman blinked a few times. "Why secluded?" she asked, suspicion evident in her voice, "Do you guys plan on murdering me and burying me under some dying tree?"

The wannabes coughed. (Y/N) fought back the urge to turn to them and glare threateningly.

"Jeez, you really do think of the worst case scenarios, don't you," Jean sweatdropped, nervously fiddling with his leather straps. (Y/N) glared at him and shrugged.

"Caution is pretty necessary, especially in a world like this," she replied curtly, sticking her chin out with indignation, "Who knows what psychos reside within the shadows."

Turning to Hange again, she steepled her fingers. "Just give be an insight on what to expect," she requested. The bespectacled brunet grinned maniacally, their glasses glaring over.
"It's biiiig~" they sang, throwing their arms in the air in emphasis. (Y/N) stroked her chin, sending Hange a funny look.

"You aren't one of those chainsaw welding serial killers, are you?" she joked. The scouts frowned.

"What's a chainsaw?" piped up Armin. (Y/N) tapped her chin. Maybe she could humor them.

"Imagine a flat piece of metal," she depicted, "Now add a serrated lining at the edge that's a chain attached to motor, something that sounds really fast." She pretended she was holding one in her hands. "Now the chain spins around the metal plate at really high speeds, and can easily cut through a decently sized tree and..." her eyes narrowed creepily "...human flesh."

Silence.

"New rule," Levi declared, "Never let Hange near one of those." The said person's disappointed cries echoed throughout the house.

"You just had to ask, right Armin?" Connie groaned, his head testing in his hands, "What kind of sick person would would something like that?"

(Y/N) shrugged. "Lumberjacks," she said, "They're these huge buff dudes with Hugh Jackman beards." Catching sight off the horrified looks on the younger scouts' faces she quickly waved her hands in negation. "Don't sweat it. Lumberjacks are usually found in places with large evergreen trees. Like in America," she assured.

She forgot to mention that lumberjacks were just wood cutters with fancy tools, not psychopaths who run around the street slicing random people.

Noticing she had gone off topic, she turned to Hange again, ignoring Mikasa's comforting words to Eren and Armin about killing any man with large muscles slowly and painfully before they could ever lay a finger on them. (Y/N) wasn't the type who paid much attention around her anyway. That did cost her a lot of stuff. Like losing her only functional airfryer. She swore she only looked away for a second (which was actually ten whole minutes) then BAM, it was gone.

And then she thought she was lost in the woods while shopping for cat food, when the main street was only a few feet away. And that one time-

"Okay, you can shut up now!" she yelled, the scouts looking at her funny while wondering who she was screaming at. With a nervous grin, she waved it off, "Nothing. Just this really annoying voice retelling incidents that were certainly not true, just exaggerated events of what really happened."
