It's rather strange really, how fate decides you had your fun in life and throws in something that turns it into one of the shittiest experiences ever? To Mikasa, she was happy in the Walls and as long as Eren was by her side, she had the strength to fight the titans.
Sure she was trapped in what seemed to Eren as a cattle pen, but she was never stuck with what she quoted, 'an annoying inconvenience'. Namely, (Y/N). She didn't know why, but she couldn't bring herself to like her. Maybe it was her bluntness, or perhaps the fact that she seemed to be hiding something. She was worried about her comrades' safety. Even the damn midget. But so far, (Y/N) didn't prove herself to be a threat. Sure, she occasionally burst into the room sobbing over something about an 'Endgame'. It was times like those when she and her comrades questioned her sanity. Call her paranoid, but living in a time where death waited at every corner elevated her protective instincts.
"Oh, hey, Mikasa."
Speak of the devil. (Y/N) walked into the backyard, sending her a calm smile. Mikasa felt her eyes narrow.
"Eren told me you were here..." the young woman continued, "Dinner's ready in case you're hungry. If you are, you better hurry up. Sasha's practical inhaling the whole thing."
The asian nodded, pulling her scarf over her mouth, "Okay."

Three days. That's how long it had been since the guests from the past arrived. More like three centuries.
Sure, (Y/N) liked some of them. Armin was wary, but still sweet. He knew when to leave her alone. Connie did his own thing. There were times when his idiocy used to annoy the shit out of her, but otherwise it was bearable. Hange had no respect for 'boundaries' (she also wondered if they knew they existed.)
Levi... Wow... Okay...
Other than being a total clean freak and cleansing her house with her vacuum cleaner, he was stingy with compliments. What kind of guy makes their host clean their whole house up with a toothbrush? She never thought someone like that even existed until he came along. Sasha was okay too, not counting the fact that she emptied out the fridge in one day. Eren was flat out avoiding her. Was he ever flirted with before? Was his titan ever flirted with before?
The others were at rockier grounds. Mikasa seemed to hate her. Jean disregarded her presence ever since she slammed a pick-up line dictionary in his arms. Armin was more of a person who spoke to her unless absolutely necessary. In short, most of the scouts didn't trust her. It sucked big time.
However, (Y/N) had something planned. These guys were going to stay with her for goodness knows how long, so she had to get on good terms with them. Sure, she gave them some of her parents' old clothes that were concurrently lying around, she fed them three times a day and she made sure they didn't touch anything remotely life threatening. Couldn't they, I don't know, act a little more grateful?
(Y/N) sulked unhappily as she proceeded to wash the dishes. Footsteps echoed behind tippy and she turned to meet Levi. He frowned at the pile of dishes. He does that a lot.
"You're doing a shitty job," he remarked.
The woman shrugged and got to what she was doing. She felt his presence beside her and he reached out for the dishes. She blinked, then sidestepped, giving him more space. His hands were a blur as he scrubbed the dishes clean, and she couldn't help but gape. Seriously, this guy had some crazy cleaning superpower. Who is he, Woshua?
