Bever's Wall

War was finally discharged three days later and Prom followed a day after that. Two days after that the university ask all six students who got involved in the incidents to join a press conference.

Win, Bboom, War, Yin, Bever and prom, accompanied by Mr. Lee. The Dean of their faculty and their university rector sit in a long table with dozens of camera flashing in front of them. War feels anxious at first because he's never a fan off attention in the first place. Bever knows this, he knows War too well. He usually offers his hand for War to hold if War ever feel anxious whenever they're in a crowded place but this time he doesn't need to do that. There's someone already doing that in his stead.

Bever glances on his left where Yin sits. His hand is holding War's under the table. The whole time the press conference happened he never once let War's hand go. Bever smiles to himself, seeing his nong being taken care of by other is a bittersweet feeling for him.

He's glad that he doesn't misplaced his trust on Yin. He knows Yin would take care of War, but at the same time he feels like giving his precious person away. People often wonder, 'you're just his cousin, why are you so protective?' when they see how close he is with War. The reason is actually simple but not many people know about it.

Bever is an only child, the same with War. Bever's mom and War's mom are paternal twin who's really close with each other. So, it's only natural that Bever and War is close. But the reason why Bever is so protective over War isn't only because of that. His mom has been telling Bever to protect and take care of his younger cousin since they were babies. So it has become an instinct for Bever to protect and take car of War.

Bever's over protectiveness really hits when they were in high school. War's father is a reputable doctor in Thailand while his mom is a famous medicine researcher. They've helped so much in hero department and because of this War often attract unwanted malicious attention. Many people only willing to be close to War because he's rich and comes from famous family, not to mention War was already gorgeous that he attracts both girls and boys attention. Bever didn't think too much about this until War introduced him to a 'boyfriend' when he was still a first year in high school.

The ending to that relationship was pretty much predictable. The asshole just wanted to take advantage of him, had cheated multiple time and used their relationship to gaslight War into thinking he's not good enough, Bever had to gave him a pretty hard lesson. Then it's becoming real when the incident with Tum happened, since then he promised to never let this type of thing happened, not a chance.

Bever was skeptical about Yin at first. It would be a lie if he didn't feel suspicious about him. But Bever wasn't stupid, he's been friends with Yin for two years, it might not be that long but he knows how Yin is. How stupidly honest and selfless he can be. As the time went by, Yin hadn't let him down, not even once. The incidents only made Bever sure about him. When he witnessed Yin lied on the ground with no heartbeat after he tried to save War, he felt the urgency to save Yin.

The press conference went on for about an hour and by the time it's over all of them are exhausted. Who knows being in front of so many cameras and answering questions would be this exhausting. But regardless it's relieving that it's over. It's time for them to move on.

Prom, Yin and War can finally go back to university two weeks after the incident. The stares and students asking how they're doing is expected. War, Win and Bboom have been getting "How are you? Are you feeling okay?" questions a lot. People especially curious about War because he's abducted to the volcano island. War feels grateful that people are being attentive and understanding but it's getting tiring to response to all the attention. Bever, Prom and Yin aren't that much different. People do ask how they're doing but most just express admiration of their bravery.
