That's all she had heard. Nothing but the waves crashing back and forth in sync. Her eyes opened as she knew she was inside her box, where her elder brother told her to stay so she wouldn't burn in broad daylight. She opened the door and poked her head out slightly but fell onto the ground in the process. Wood, what she felt was wood. Nezuko pushed the box off of her and grew back into her normal size. Nezuko looked around her surroundings trying to find out where she is. There were a lot of boxes. Then Nezuko laid her eyes upon a door that probably lead to the outside. She walked towards it and kicked it down. While she did that she heard gasps. Nezuko walked over the door she kicked down. She looked up and saw it was almost night, and the sun wasn't out.

She focused her eyes to where she heard gasps. There were men, a lot of them to be frank. Her eyes widened only a little bit. She had never been near so many humans like this before. One of the few men walked up to her and kneeled down to her level. He had a bandana rapped around his head. He gave her a weak smile and touched her shoulder.

"H-Hello there erm child. Are you perhaps going to take the Hunter exam?" he said shyly. Nezuko was confused, what is a hunter exam? Nezuko didn't know what he was talking about and just gave him a nod. He smiled again, and signaled her to follow him, to where their captain is and the other contestants are at. Nezuko followed right behind until they made it to the Captain's cabin. Nezuko saw the dark cold water. She paused to get a better view of it, but she was suppose to follow the man, so she continued walking. The man opened the door to the captain's cabin.

"Erm, Captain sir, there appears to be another contestant that wants to take the hunter exam," the man said as he made Nezuko go inside the room. Inside were four men/boys. They all had some weird features added to them. One of them had feminine face that kinda reminded her of Inosuke. He had golden hair and gray eyes. Another was tall and looked as if he was a businessman. One boy looked about Nezuko's age, he had green grassy hair, and a wide smile on his face. His smile made Nezuko 'smile' too. The so called Captain messaged Nezuko to stand next to Grass boy. As she did the boy's smile grew bigger.

"Hello there! My name is Gon, and the others are Kurapika, and Leorio, what's your name?" he asked. Nezuko looked at the boy confused on how she is going to say her name. Instead she just stared at him and shrugged. Gon looked confused but didn't pay any mind to her not responding at all. She had a bamboo muzzle in her mouth for a reason. What can she do? The businessman scoffed thinking she was being disrespectful. Then the old man began talking.

"So what are your reasons on becoming a Hunter?" he asked coldly. Still the only people that answered were Gon. "I want to be a Hunter because my dad was one too you know!" Gon explained. Leorio grunted at what Gon had just said a loud. Nezuko didn't understand a bit where this was going so she decided to keep quiet about the conversation. "Kid, why the hell did you tell him that?" Leorio said.
