Shaun's Perspective
"Run!" a vociferous scream from the distant shouted. Turning my head over my shoulder, I saw Clint waving his hands at us, running.
"What's wrong with him?" Ephraim asked as he turned his motorcycle to face Clint's direction.
Bending my brows I answered, "I don't know. He may be gone crazy again!"
Sitting on my motorcycle, I grabbed my helmet and wore it, and before I could turn my motorcycle, a heavy flesh just jumped behind me.
Tapping my helmet, he shouted, "Shaun, faster! Let's go!"
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" I grunted as I looked at Clint's face on my wing mirror, few seconds after, I heard clatters from behind us.
"They're here, Shaun, run!" he demanded, pushing my back, that my heart almost come out through my chest.
Before I could ask what's was going on, Ephraim started his motorcycle and screamed as he threw one of his helmets to Clint, "Shaun, faster, follow me!"
He drove past us and signalled his hands for me to just go.
Then the noises from behind us gotten louder and louder, there I realized it was the sound of multiple numbers of motorcycles. Without looking back I started to follow Ephraim.
"Damn! Clint, what did you do this time?" I asked as I followed Ephraim, trying to catch up with his speed. Well, Ephraim ran faster than I am. His speed in driving a motorcycle was incredible and stunning. He was not afraid to go faster and faster until he reached his maximum speed, for him driving a motorcycle is life!
Looking at the wing mirror, I saw five men in motorcycles following us.
"What happened?" I thought.
Ephraim honked when he noticed me leaving behind. I left my eyes on my wing mirror and looked at him, he stretched his right arm, and lifted a thumbs-up, asking me if I was alright, so I did the same, as an answer that I was okay. I saw him nodded his head and followed by three flashes of light from the back of his motorcycle.
My eyes widened in fear at that moment... no way! Seriously?
It's a signal- a signal for us to speed up to the highest level.
"Damn! No! I can not do it!" I thought as I kept looking at Ephraim's back when he just brought out another 3 signals; it means it's really time for us to speed up. I looked at the guys from behind us and they were honestly fast, that they were almost near me.
I kept following Ephraim and he went to an empty road, and as expected he flashed his light two times, one signal left, and I needed to speed up to my ultimate acceleration.
Looking at the capability of the ones behind us, I knew that Ephraim sense that they were not a joke when it comes to driving. He seemed serious when he gave me signals, I knew I couldn't see his face, but him driving at that speed so suddenly, I knew something was wrong.
I let out a long deep breath as I pointed my eyes, and focus on Ephraim's light waiting for his final signal, then 10 seconds after, the signal begins.
He speeds up even more and I had no choice but to reach my maximum speed. I calmed down and went slowly, attaining to catch up with him. It was my first time doing it but I knew that Ephraim trusted my motorcycle, he knew it won't fail me.
"Shaun, they're coming!" Clint shouted as he gripped my shoulders. I took a quick glance at my wing mirror and my eyes widened in fear to noticed how fast they were, and how incredible they signal each other. Even though I was driving at my maximum speed, they could do the same.
Beep!
Ephraim drew a long honked and the moment I looked at him, he pointed at the broken bridge, that was located on the right side of the road, which middle where no longer exists.
"What no!" I thought as I gripped my motorcycle even more. I knew that Ephraim was telling me that we would jump on the other side of the bridge, which was a terrible decision.
I shook my head to tell him I couldn't but he honked two times to tell me we should go.
He kept honking waiting for my decision, looking at the men behind us, who were desperate to catch us, I sighed and without a choice, I nodded my head, and he did the same.
We were near the bridge and he honked once more.
10...9...8...7...
We were going nearer and nearer to the bridge. And my ears slowly lose their senses that I could only hear nothing but my heart thumping too fast.
6...5...
"Clint, hold tighter to me!" I shouted as loud as I could, removing the nervousness inside me...
"What?" he shouted, I knew I should have told him the plan but he might freak out and panic which could cause me to lose my balance so I decided not to tell him.
4..3...
"Idiot! Just hold tighter! We're going to fly!" I shouted...gripping my bike tighter, praying I could make it, or else we're dead meat.
2...1...0...
A scream from Clint was ringing in my ear, but I was glad that he didn't move and just screamed...
I saw Ephraim landed perfectly and drove his motorcycle on the side of the bridge as he turned it to face us.
Not breathing out, I focused on the ground, and the moment I felt my motorcycle touches the road, I tried my best to balanced but then we failed, my motorcycle slide on its side but I managed to control it, thanks to God, we didn't get too many wounds.
"Are you guys insane?!" Clint yelled at us as he helped me stood up. Tapping my clothes to get rid of the dirt.
"At least we escaped from them!" Ephraim whispered and removed his helmet as he looked at the other side of the bridge. The five men stopped and just stared at us, then after a few minutes later, they drove away.
I was frowning about how my motorcycle got damaged when Clint suddenly fell on the ground in just a bat of an eye.
"The heck! What is happ..."
I stopped talking when Ephraim sat on top of Clint and punched him, while Clint covered his face to protects himself, his face from being beaten.
"Hey, stop!" I shouted as I pulled Ephraim away from Clint before he could kill him with his heavy punches.
He then stood up, panting, catching his breath as he glared at Shaun.
"What the hell is wrong with you two?!" I screamed and Clint stood up slowly.
Clint licked the blood from his lips and whispered, "I" m sorry, brother, but I swear I didn't do anything! I'm not doing such thing again!" he said as he rubbed his arms and I could see how red they were, Ephraim punches wasn't a joke, it's severe.
Well, Ephraim and Clint were siblings. Clint was my friend which leads my friendship to his great brother, Ephraim.
Ephraim grabbed Clint from his collar, clenching his jaw, he whispered but in a furious and serious tone, "Are you certain, Clint?!"
Clint faced was showing a huge fear as he looked straight to his eyes as he nodded his head and Ephraim slowly let go of his shirt.
"You alright, Shaun?" he asked as he faced me. I gulped and nodded my head, I didn't see him like that before, his flaming eyes were scary as if they could devour you to death.
Ephraim tapped my back and chuckled, "Thank you for trusting me," he said as he looked at my motorcycle.
"Yet, I apologize for what happened to your partner," he said and went near my motorcycle.
I just smiled like nothing happened, I was the one who should thank him because he let me experienced something that I never did before, and he believed in me.
