Shaun's Perspective

I couldn't believe the history of these brothers, I just met Clint last year and I knew about him being a drug addict but this news was new to me.

We were just following the two when we reached the bridge... I couldn't believe there were lots of mini houses below this bridge... How could they sleep early at night, knowing how noisy the train was? I was honestly expecting her to have only a pair of blankets and a pillow on the ground but she has actually a home... And looking around the place she was not the only one who lived here, there were many small houses built with woods and some are stones, and some are half-wooden and half-stones, semi-concrete, they called... Well, the only disturbing were the houses were almost kissing each other. I shouldn't be expecting much better, but I somehow thought how hard do they live here?

"Shhhh..." the woman hissed as she led the way, and we did our best not to make any sounds that could disturb the others.

The door creaked open and we slowly went inside, she then let us sat on an old wooden bank seat, and told us to wait. I roamed around and saw lots of charcoals on the edge of this house, no wonder she looked like that.

After few minutes, the girl went outside, with wet hair and as before her clothes were loose, but she looks much better than before, she looked like a human than a few minutes ago. But I was honestly stunned by her look, she was indeed gorgeous. No wonder why Ephraim fell in love with her girlfriend.

"Coffee?" she offered as she poured water on a percolator.

"Sure, thank you," Ephraim smiled.

As the girl was serving us coffee I stared at the cup.

"Don't worry, the coffee is okay, I used clean water," she smiled that made my eyes widened...

"No, I'm sorry, I don't doubt the water you used, it's just..." I paused and look at her in the eyes... "Nevermind, I just remember something..." I added and sipped the coffee, it was good.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't offer you better food than coffee, you know..." she grinned

"Don't worry about us, we experience the same fortune," he said.

I looked at Ephraim, I wonder how hard did he do to be successful, he owns a company that sells motorcycles? Well, how would I know? I was born with a golden spoon in my mouth.

"By the way, what's your name?" Clint asked and she grabbed a wooden stool and sat near us.

"I'm Akira Sanchez," she smiled and we did hand-shaking as we introduced ourselves to her.

"So what's your story?" I asked and her eyes rolled at me immediately.

She gave me an empty looked before answering, "Long story, I don't actually like telling my stories."

Well, I understood her and didn't bother to ask any questions about her.

"How old are you, anyway?" Ephraim asked and we were surprised to know that she was also the same as me and Clint's age, 18 years of old.

"Oh, wonderful, you have the same age as them," he smiled as he looked at us.

*******

Well, we spent the night at Akira's house, she slept inside a mini room, and the three of us did our best to fit outside of her room, we put some layered boxes on the ground then sleep there.

When I woke up in the morning and got outside, I was stunned to see how many people were pointing a wooden stick at Clint. Their faces looked like they were threatening him, one wrong move he would be beaten to death. "Did Clint got in trouble again?" I thought but then when they saw me coming out from the house they pointed stared at me as well, that I couldn't have such courage to talk.

"Who are you? What did you do to Akira?" an old man shouted as he pointed a knife at us and we stepped backward in fear.

"Let us explain, we did nothing wrong with her!" Clint's stuttering voice made me feel even more nervous.

But then what's more crazier experience was when Ephraim got out from the house, he was topless and innocent on what was happening, he raised his hands up the sky, stretching his body and just paused the moment he opened his eyes. "What did you..." the old man just came after us and I and Clint hurriedly grabbed Ephraim inside and shut the door, locked it as fast as we could.

"The heck, Ephraim? Why are you topless?" Clint yelled at him. And Ephraim just hit him in his head, "Don't yell at me, what is the heck happening here?" he asked as a loud smack kept banging the door telling us to open it.

"Are you not going out there or we are going to burn you to death?! What did you do to Akira?!" they shouted.

"Well, they misunderstood seeing a guy coming from this house, I was about to explain but you suddenly came out and..." he slapped his temple, sighed, and continued to talk, "And you came out like that, they became more suspicious and violent."

"Okay, I'm sorry, I couldn't sleep last night because it was too hot, especially that you kept pushing your body to mine... I was like a damn patty that was out in the middle of two bug buns!" he barked when Akira came out from the room, shouting, "What is going on one here?"

We all looked at her at the same time,  and smirked awkwardly, "Well, they want to kill us!" we answered in monotone.

"Bring us Akira!" shouted someone.

Akira sighed and opened the door, I was about to stop her but I was too late it was opened... but because of agitation an old man almost hit Akira with a thick stick but luckily, I grabbed her from her waist and covered her.

I clenched my fist as I could feel a strong whack on my back and I winced in pain as I pushed Akira away from me and fell on the ground.
