I really did not have much time. And the place was DEFINITELY where I was not supposed to be. Why? Because today out of all days, my super-villain gallery decided to play 'take down and distract the spider' day.
It started with me chasing the Vulture. He stole some jewelry at a nearby store. I took the prusuit to the building rooftops, propelling myself through the air with my webs. Vulture, meanwhile, was too focus at looking back at me, and accidentally broke a chuck of a building with his metal wing.
Some pieces of roof and glass started cascading down to the bystanders down below. A few, who were filming, noticed and started tugging some folks away. Others screamed, while the rest were too frightened to move.
In mid air, I swiftly set a large web above them, successfully catching all the debris. The citizens down below cried in relief.
"Thanks Spidey, your the best!" The citizens complimented and cheered.
I jumped onto Vulture's back, inspecting his wing suit armour.
"Get off me, you annoying insect!" he demanded, twirling and then flying upside down for a bit to shake me lose.
I rolled my eyes underneath my mask, "Vultche, you know that those manoeuvres never work to shake me off." I say.
Definitely, his green suit might have been improved on the outside, but, judging the large sculpted hump in front of me, the main controls were most likely in there. I yank it open in the back, "Fancy new duds, same old layout."
"Don't you dare pull out..."
"Oh I dare." In one motion I rip out the wires controlling his wings.
"No, not again!" He screams, angrily. He plummets down and I scoop him up, landing on the ground. Webbing him up at a street lamp, I leave one of my courtesy cards for the police; 'Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-man'. I better take my leave before they come.
Before I could leave the ground, I felt something soft, yet firm warp around my leg. Looking down, a big yellow, sandy hand held my ankle firm.
I groan and pinch my fingers on my forehead, "Oh great! The sandcastle is here!". I'm going to be SO late for my graduation now.
The grains soon complied into a shape of a man; wielding a sandy sledge hammer with a crooked grin. "Ha ha, the Sandman is here and has a beach party in store for you, Spidey."
