"We must protect the young of our species.... do you remember the cave of our ancestors" my mom asks stroking my hair

"Gather the young ones and your mother will meet you all there" my dad states
"No! I'm not leaving you" my mom cries to my father
"Our people need their chief in battle" my dad tells my mom as he kisses her and hugs me.
"Y/n I was saving these for when your older" my father says handing me a necklace
