The truth

As I sit next to Amity as she avoids eye contact the entire period

'I can't believe we kissed' I smile

The bell yells I attempt to ask Amity to hang out after school but before I was able to Boscha comes up to us

"Hey Amity let's have a little chat" Boscha smirks

"Uh....sure" Amity get's her things and walk out with Boscha

'Hm what's that all about' I think

'Should I follow them? What if Boscha tries to pull something, I better go to make sure she's ok' I think as I grab my things to follow close behind them

They end up going to the roof I stay right by the door

"So what's up with you and the new girl" Boscha asks

"What do you mean" Amity replies

"You guys came to school together and I saw you guys go to the library together"

'Shit' I think

"There's nothing going on between me and that human principle Bump offered me extra credit to show her around and get her caught up with everything, that's all nothing more" she states plainly

I feel my heart ache

'She's just lying to keep her reputation she doesn't actually mean it.....right?' I say

"So are you gonna drop her now you did the job or what" Boscha asks walking closer

"Yeah of course I wouldn't wanna keep wasting my time with someone like her, I'm a Blight, we only associate with a selected few keep annoying me though I'm happy to select fewer" Amity scoffs

'Hm so that's how it is then'

I slowly back away so they wouldn't hear me

As last period start I head over to my class seeing Amity the she smiles at me, I ignore it and sit down next to her

"Alright class today we'll be discussing....."

I begin to zone out staying in my own thoughts before Amity nudges me

"Hey you ok?" She whispers

"Oh so now she talks to me" I say irritated

"what?" Amity tilts her head

"Don't concern you Blight" I hiss back

Amity is taken back before writing a note and passing it to me

She continues to attempt to talk to me but I ignore her until class ends

I get up and leave heading down the stairs before I feel someone grab my wrist

"What's wrong with you y/n? Why are you acting like this?" She asks full of concern

"Why do you care, after all you're a Blight, you only hang out with a selected few right. I doubt mommy and daddy would approve of me" I hiss

I see her eyes full of regret

"N-no y/n it isn't like that" she tries to reach out and touch me

I back up

"Look at first I thought it was just defend your stupid honor but now I'm not so sure, you know what maybe it be better if we part ways after all that will help your reputation won't it" I hiss leaving her
