"Promise we'll be friends forever, Emma." I told her holding out my pinky.
"I Emma, promise to be Katie's friend forever" we pinky promised and hugged, I smiled.
"Guys come in I made sandwhichs, and lemonade."
"We're coming mom," I said I wasn't ready to come in, I wanted to show Emma something.
"Yea, Aunt Jessica, we'll be there in a minute" Emma shouted. I rolled my eyes, and giggled. Everything I did, she did. "Come on I want to show you something." I grabbed her hand and took her behind the house, "looky at the puppy I found, I'm going to name him hero" she rubbed his tummy, and smiled at me.
"He's cute." I puppy licked my hand, and first I jumped, but relaxed.
"Guys hurry up, amd get the sandwhichs" mom shouted once again.
"Come on we better go or mommy, will be mad."
I grabbed Emma's hand, and we walked back to the house. This was 10 years ago, I haven't spoken to or seen Emma in years, she was my favorite person, my best friend.
