the walk home with mark was silent.

mark was thinking of what to say, while jisung was already thinking of ways to win renjun's heart. he knew renjun somehow liked jisung's kisses, but he didn't want to assume completely so he was going to make extra effort.

jisung has been occcupied with his thoughts since haechan said that he needs to win renjun's heart, that he didn't notice mark was walking him home.

"oh! mark-hyung! you're here? you should have said so, i didn't notice!" jisung puffed his cheeks.

mark chuckled lightly. "i was walking you home. don't worry it's not a big deal." he smiled genuinely.

"okay! how's it with you and haechan-hyung?" 

"it's.. it's going fine i guess? the courting stage is going smooth, except for the moments when we both forget that i'm courting him." mark chuckled.

"ooohhh cool! how are you courting him though?" 

" well, uhm, i don't even know if i did anything, i just asked him and his parents for permission to court haechan and they said yes and i just went with the flow." 

jisung thought carefully.

can i also go with the flow? aaah no.

mark noticed the younger's internal battle so he stopped walking and tugged the younger's shirt. jisung stopped his tracks and looked at mark confused.

"hey, you don't have to do something fancy or buy something expensive. just show renjun you truly love him."

"i'm scared. i don't want to mess this up, i don't want renjun to experience what chenle felt when he was still with me."

"you won't mess this up. you've changed, right? just show him you love him. plus, holding on to the past will only hold you back. move on from it jisung, chenle already forgave you for that." 

jisung nodded and wiped the small tear forming on his eyes. he hugged mark and then walked their way home.
